We all know it takes a while to research anything, and it is even worse in ground than air due to how rewards are calculated. But let´s have a look how bad it actually is.
As an example of rank I, the new Ho-Ni II have reward multiplier for RP 100%, its modules to spade cost 4460 RP.
Now on the other side of spectrum we have rank VIII T-80U with 244% multiplier for RP and total module RP cost of 281 900 RP.
What we can see from this? We gain 2,4 times more RP on rank VIII compared to rank I. However the module cost to spade increased 63x times.
If we count average RP gain per game to be 4000 RP, the Ho-Ni can be spaded in 1,15 games, which is okay for rank I vehicle. However, the T-80U needs 70,475 games to be spaded. Which is again about 61,2 times more. Now having hundreds of vehicles with such high module costs, it is impossible in current state of WT to own every single tech tree vehicle and have them spaded. It is actually impossible to own every single TT vehicle even when not having them spaded as they add them faster than they are researched, unless you play 18h a day.
And this made me think, and realize,i will never have everything and let alone spaded, despite playing the game for 13 years,i am still far from having complete tech trees or everything spaded. With average 10 min per game in GRB,we are looking at nearly 12h of playing with single vehicle at rank VIII to spade it. There are hundreds of vehicles on said rank,12h average per. With 93 rank VIII tanks alone in the game as of now, that is 1116 hours spent in game to spade ever rank VIII vehicle without any new being added. It is horrible and something needs to be changed.
What i´d like to see is increase in RP gains overall and change of how RP gain is calculated for GRB as the gain is worst there. Or even better, reversal of the time based economy back to good old action based one, which doesnt punish player for being good, unlike the new one which actively punishes said players. As right now, killing 5 people in ARB and dying within 5 minutes gives you way less RP than killing 1 and dying in 15 minutes. But who had bigger impact on the game and possible win? The guy who killed 5 as thats nearly 1/3rd of enemy team.
