Its about as same gameplay wise as the AV8B NA to the Harrier T10. they are very similar but have some differing dynamics to them to make it a unique vehicle

Malaysia did make sure to westernize them at least.
Both of the Soviet aircraft here have western avionics systems (most notably the South African MAWS / LWS and French IFF on the Su-30MKM, but also things like the British IFF and American Radio and Navigation on the MiG-29N) and integrated western weapons (Damocles pod and GBU-12 on the Su-30MKM, AIM-9L/M Sidewinder and P5 CTS on the MiG-29N.
They’re also the only real Soviet vehicles in Malaysian service, the closest others might be domestic vehicle mounted Igla missiles or post-Soviet NATO Poland export PT-91M.

I honestly give you that, even if twin seaters will always be infinitely better than the single seat counterpart, so seeing one finally added is always nice.
Still my point stands for the MiG-29N, which is a unique Malaysian derivative of a MiG-29 variant we don’t even have in game.

The following is not my opinions. It is specifically an argument of absurdist.
The entirely new cockpit and 3D models Gaijin spent $$$$$ on are copy-paste. Leclerc is just an M1A1 but French. F-2 and F-16 might as well be the same jet. In-fact, M1A2 is just copy-paste of the FT-17, same basic principles.
The time and effort research teams put into discovering differences in these aircraft don’t matter at all.
Neither do the feelings and work of 3D modelers of cockpits and airframes.
Only my selfish false interpretation of the words “copy” and “paste” matter.

I’m just happy to see Malaysian vehicles in game, that’s another nation that usually doesn’t get featured individually in other games and especially not with Malaysian lineup options we can see in the future. This is the type of content that keeps me around War Thunder, US or Soviet stuff is everywhere, this isn’t.
I’d still like to see subtrees improved a bit in general to represent this though, it’d be nice to have a proper Malaysian research tree for Malaysian vehicles and so on.

the more nations the better im with you on that. especially when they get a permanent home and dismembered across several trees like Poland, Canada and Australia.
its a shame weve not seen an addition of the size we saw with SA but its still good. Especially as you didnt have a vehicle get thrown into another tree a couple weeks before the announcement as a final middle finger like SA had.
