Hey folks. Let’s discuss about the possiblity of giving Rafale better missiles for long range.
While I’m on stock grind with the Rafale, the MICA EM is extremely disappointing. They tend to be slower than others due to TVC and that horrible range. I can hit targets from 30km away with AIM-120C-5, maybe 25km with AIM-120A/B but with Mica it’s a glorifed R-77…Well at least it doesn’t have an airbrake, so that’s pretty nice.
The option for AIM-120C-5 should be given to the Rafale, to improve its long range performance.
If this is not an option, the existence of MICA NG can be considered, with “40% greater range” compared to the standard MICA, according to the Wikipedia. The unique AESA seeker can be nerfed if it would be too OP since PL-15s and AIM-260 aren’t coming soon. Also, better performance against stealthy targets does not mean much considering F-117s get easily detected in the game.
Rafale C F3 is a low flying and short range fighter, in-game, it’s not exactly made for long ranges where the MICA-EM doesn’t exactly performs the best, it’s perfect at short range, giving a new missile won’t really solve any problem because the amount will still be low. Try playing Rafale C F3 at short distances first, what I mean is, compared to platforms that have AIM-120B, you can’t actively engage people at long distances.
if you were not creating discussions,… but check on existing Rafale threads, you would know the following:
1- MICA-EM NG are not implemented on actual In-game (F.3R Standards) but only on the Latest Rafale IRL (F.4.1 / tests aircraft of F.4.2 standards)
2- MICA-EM are actually nerfed for balance in their range department (50km hard cap)
3- MICA-EM does have several bug-reports acknowledged about it already
Rafale C F3 is far from one of the easiest planes to play: You have a fairly light platform and agile at the same time, is fast enough to not need after burner all the time to keep up next to rip speed, if you can’t multipath with the Rafale C F3 I’d say that’s a you problem. Rafale C F3 been a target of complains for long, giving it a missile capable of searching for more stealthy targets as mentioned in the MICA article in Wikipedia people would go wild with complains here. I’m afraid you haven’t tried and are saying this from out of your head.

Just stay basebombing and dont use micas… Least we would have 1 player in this game, who cant do good in a plane what got best fox 3’s atm…
Micas are totally busted , best solution would be that go in youtube, spend 2 days watching videos how to use em, and you will be amazed how easy it is to kill people in those.

what you should specifically do, is learn to play,… you’re spamming threads over the forum for aircrafts/missiles that you have no clue on how to use them effectively
