The R-77 'ADDER' - History, Design, Performance & Discussion

Sounds like china is eating good this year, hopefully the J-20 won’t be shit on release like they did the J-10C

Yeah china top tier will definitely be very good.
Got the best Russian and domestic 4.5 gens while also having great domestic 5th gens

my main concern with gaijin is they will try their own form of “balance” as of giving every stealth aircraft the same rcs :(

To be honest I think that will be a good thing.
I mean stealth doesn’t really matter at least for planes radars, irbis radar for example can already detect f-117 from front aspect at over 50km.
The only things it really affects is arh missile lock range.
And seekerheads like the one on r-77 variants have a lock range of >2km for a 0.001 m^2 target or something like that

I’m not really in depth for the mathematical parts for aviation (ironic since i want to be an aerospace engineer), reading the majority of this forum was basically a different language for me.

but imagine the dumpster fire the forums are goanna be if the J-20 or Su-57 preform well in the game

What I’m studying rn actually lolz

I definitely think they’re gonna be doing better than f-22.
Similar missile count while having much better missiles for the current meta.
As well as probably handling similar if not better depending on what engines they get

I honestly think the F-35 would do better than the F-22, maybe except WVR, but i hope they nerf this bullshit multipath meta first.

Is studying for aerospace difficult? I’m currently doing my general transfer at my local community college

Which means, missile with datalink will be amazingly difficult to deal with, behaving like SARH.

It’s not difficult (as long as you study, some of my friends got burned for not studying enough) but I’m gonna betransferring to electrical engineering, as honestly it’s better to give up on your dreams and instead go to a similar, more stable path for the current job market.
For example One of my friends who is studying software engineering rn is honestly super cooked and I think he’s going to be kicked out of his program.

If you do go down aerospace engineering make sure to stay on top of your work, you don’t want to go on academic probation.
Make sure you’re really actually passionate about this stuff. Otherwise you will get burnt out.

Honestly don’t really see it as f-22 is just much, much faster.

Its super cruise speed is the f-35s max speed

computer engineer who does software engineering full time - yea the industry for new graduates is in shambles right now

i suspect the 57 will probably be one of the better (if not the best) performing 5th gens in war thunder terms assuming match playstyles don’t significantly change with newer missiles, just because of how most RB matches end up being sub-20km missile spam fights where the 77m will be much more useful than 120. jury is out on pl12a

any update on this suggestion, is it still pending?

Still pending…
Will probably take like 3 months before they get around to it

maybe it will get passed soon, suggestion mods have been going through a massive backlog of suggestions for like the last few days, 100+ was approved yesterday alone
