To me seems like fuze activation time is underperforming, currently in game it’s impossible to hit a target from 0.3 km from front hemisphere due to fuze not activating in time. If someone wants to do a bug report on that, they can do it, otherwise I’ll do one when i get time.
Could also be that the warheads are modeled uniformly so the IRL rod may be able to hit target at 0.3 which can’t be achieved in game due to the unrealistic calculation of damage ( May cause damage to own aircraft in game). If this can be confirmed we might need a suggestion rather than a bug report.
Both the r73 and r77 get the 0.3 min launch range and the r73 is actually able to hit it due to its 0.5 sec fuse timer… I think r77 should simply get the same fuse timer. Btw, missiles like the r73 can simply phase through the launcher’s plane, so I don’t think clipping the plane is an issue whatsoever
Wait they banned him??? When???
U noticed he hasn’t said anything for a while right? Not that long ago, for posting sth online that in theory is not supposed to be but then i can get it and pretty much everyone can.
The War Thunder forum has fallen…
It’s just a set of rules that stops governments from closing down the forum all together, which probably was almost the case with the number of leaks of Captor M and Chally and DTC-10 and VT-4 and all sorts. I understand all that and I think we just have to either go on different platform if we do share it. Not saying I support sharing these things but the ban on restrictive material often involves stuff that are actually quite harmless or are leaked long before.
I’ll throw up a bug report on this when I get home
how would this affect the r77-1 in game ?
Think r27er if you maintain hardlock
harder to notch assuming the Su-30SM keeps a lock on the target, and it should be able to be guided in via TWS iirc.
click i have same issue, r-77-1 bug report missing sarh mode
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/Uat4jFe00KYS
also seems like seeker lock range is incorrect, it should be more than 16km, although that’s probably just for balancing reasons
im not sure but i heard mica em has the best seeker head and its harder to notch compared to every other fox 3 missile if true why is this the case ?.
it has a smaller fov, roughly half of the other arh missiles (not including phoenix). so this way at super close range, it’s less likely to see chaff, but realistically, it’s still just as easy to notch as all other fox 3s.
The document also has some interesting stuff on ecm/chaff resistance, with the seekerhead of the r-77-1 being multifunction waveguide-slot array compared to the planar slotted wave guide. idk exactly what this means but I think the r-77-1 should have a better seekerhead compared to the r-77 due to this, however I don’t know enough about this to throw up a report on it. if someone else can look through the document they can probably conjure something up to report, @ron_23 you know anything about this?
