It seems to me a simple modification to make them lock out once the drag pushes the fins back, the main reason they might have been locked out before takeoff on external pylons is due to the fact that they are already exposed to airflow.
Thats because of necessity rather than anything elses. The ruaf has suffered pretty large losses and the amount of stron enemy air defense is a massive risk, especially now that they are up against very good awacs systems. The air war is very much a peer war.
Absolutely untrue, mechanical scan vs pesa/aesa(aesa is nerfed so it plays literally the same but thats details) is not even in the same unverse of effectivenes, it locks faster and provides mcuh better situational awareness, which is doubly important when longer range missiles gets introduce.
Su35s will be top dog when it drops(only reason it wouldnt is amraams arent fixes and china doesnt get pl12a).
I say this as a flanker lover, i dont think theres a aircraft i enjoy more than su27sm i never get bored playing it and likely will be just as happy with su35s or mig35, hell im planning to grind china just for j11a and j11b(i know j11a is a struggle bus but its still interesting to me)
even if that happens the Su-35S will still be one of the best planes simply because bvr isnt that feasible in WT and i personally dont think that that will change
It should be worse than su30 in terms of compression su-35 is heavier
Empty weight is 200 kilos more. Slightly more than a single R-77-1. Rest isn’t that different because you will still gonna take same fuel and missile payload as Su-30SM anyway. But you will get a nice thrust increase. And if gaijin also gonna give it better fuel consumption you will brobably get away with less fuel that might lead to even better TWR at the start of the combat.
thinking that wont change is dumb, if it doesnt change it wont matter what missile they add
that’s just a cgi
Yeah it is, book I took it from said jack shit about it being cgi
Do we have more information on the dual r77 rack?
sure, it uses dual aku 170 pylons for carriage of rvv-ae/rvv-sd, and maybe izd-180 as well but unsure about that last one. It is available for use on su-35/su-35s.
also advertised for the Su-35

r-77 should be able to go to 0-45 degrees aoa between mach 0.6 and mach 5. and max overload is 50gs according to this patent.
looks to be fairly well configured in game as its able to go above 40 degrees aoa and hit 50 gs
Is this also su35? To be honest, I forgot the difference between the appearance of su27 and su35
yes this is su35. all images of dual r77 racks are of su35
Tail is a dead giveaway from this angle. Su-35S has remodelled rear part between engines.
