The Problems with the new Triple-Vehicle packs

Why is Britain just getting a premium Crusader AA from 3.7BR but America gets a SECOND Skink as a premium at 5.3? The Skink is a vehicle made whilst Canada was a dominion of the British Empire, why would the USA get more of these? Not only is it a massive difference in quality, but at the same price too…

As others have noted, the value between the packs varies wildly by nation which comes across as bias. Why is Britain being served 3.7BR AA and 4.7BR tanks when Soviet and Germany triple-packs walk out with multiple heavy tanks and mostly 5.7BR? If Germany can get a 5.7BR lineup for £29.99, why isn’t the British equivalent (at least) skink + comet + challenger…

Britain should be getting a premium skink here, not the USA. The USA never even used the Polsten guns, let alone the Skink itself. It served with the British and Commonwealth forces. Britain should be getting commonwealth vehicles, not “literally anyone but Britain”. Stop giving Canadian content to the USA!

I don’t mind Britain getting the Crusader because they did see widespread service at the time but I do agree the US pack should’ve gotten something other than the Skink.

The British pack should’ve also gotten the Challenger instead of the Avenger as they actually saw service and being 5.3 it’d slightly reduce the value disparity between the packs.

Yup, especially when you consider Germany got two 5.7BR Tiger 1s in their equivalent triple-pack. The British pack should’ve been Skink + Comet + Challenger and it would still all be 5.3BR

4.7 is apparently a very popular lineup for UK, so a very good choice for a premium pack.

Which means a higher BR AA like the Skink was unlikely.

Then why is it the same price for a substantial difference in quality. They could’ve just made it Skink + Comet + Challenger and it would make a very big 5.3 lineup for Britain and would justify the price.

Its not a substantial difference in quality

They’re both rank 3 packs able to grind up to rank 4.

Premium prices are generally by rank.

Unfortunately, because they decided to go for the Overlord theme it’s out of the Comet’s timeframe. They didn’t even need to go for Normandy though as late-war British tanks don’t look too dissimilar to what they’ve done here and, if anything, look cooler with all of the extra stowage that a lot of crews had accumulated by that point.

Cromwells with a few bits and pieces in Normandy:
IWM (B 8182)
IWM (B 8182)
IWM (B 7563)
IWM (B 7563)

Cromwells covered with stowed items in Germany:
IWM (BU 2895)
IWM (BU 2895)
IWM (BU 6130)
IWM (BU 6130)

Because they’re the same rank. Honestly, a 4.7 lineup is better for a premium pack overall, especially when it’s rank 3 like the others.

Canada is both friends of USA and Britain, get over it.

I don’t dispute that Overlord theme should have that kind of date for its vehicles, but they’re charging the same price and then arguing you’re getting the same value where Germany would get 5.7 Tiger Is. This should be £19.99 not £29.99 if it’s going to have substantial differences.

£19.99 would be more like a rank 2 pack than a rank 3

I don’t think it’s fair to consider it being equivalent price to use a Crusader AA vs a Skink vs an Ostwind II, which are all in £30 packs.

It’s a substantial difference in how well you’ll grind with it because it’s less survivable and quite a low-BR SPAA. This is before we even address getting an avenger vs two Tiger Is

The AA is the smallest part of the pack, the amount of grinding you do with AA is tiny. Not £10 worth of difference.

Its the same rank 3 tanks, the same 1000 Golden Eagles, same 15 day premium time, and same title and decal preorder bonuses.

So 4.7 Firefly, 4.7 Avenger, 3.7 Crusader AA = £30

But if you play Gaijin’s favourite nation: 5.7 Tiger 1, 5.7 Tiger 1, 5.3 Ostwind II = £30

Remember, Gaijin only gives Firefly APDS to kill those Tiger 1s reliably if you play the Italian version of it, too.

Both rank 3 lineups, same grinding potential.

Germany favourite Gaijins nation??? HAHAHAHAHHA.

USA pack: 6.0, 5.7 and 5.3.
Soviets pack: 5.7, 5.7 and 4.0 or 3.7 (Germany new Spaa added first to Soviets cuz favourite nation…)
All pack are more or less the same. I agree with probably give a lower cost due probably less RP and SL mult. but said Germny is the favourite of gaijin is a big falacy.

And 0.3 more of BR and personally i dont think is weak APDS for 0.3 BR more is a great deal specially when you dont need that kind of shell for destroy Tigers.

Here’s how I see it, personally:

I buy that £30 pack, so does a germany main. Apparently same grinding potential.

We’ll regularly match into each other as more people play 5.7 than 3.7 so 4.7 does not see as many downtiers.

4.7s will generally lose to 5.7s, especially as the Germans got two heavy tanks. This means dying more and grinding less because someone chose to buy the “equivalent” grinding pack on a stronger nation.

If either of us bring out aircraft, one of us has an Ostwind II at 5.3, the USA guys get the Commonwealth Skink at 5.3, but Britain is “equivalent” with a Crusader AA Mk II. Guess which one gets roof penned with a slower turret traverse and less damage to aircraft…

Everyone gets uptiers, 5.7 as well

5.7 also gets uptiers a lot more commonly because the 5.7-7.7 BR range is one of the most populated, with 6.7 BR tanks commonly either only ever being uptiered or downtiered

The reason the US got the Skink initially was because of the SPAA gap of the time, and it was seen as a small trade between the nations (Britain got that one 3.7 and US got the Skink) but Gaijin doubling down and adding more Skinks to the US is stupid imo

It’s also out of the Avenger’s time frame, sooooo

(Did not mean to reply to the topic twice, sorry)

Hence why I suggested the Challenger instead. Even a Mk. IC/IC Hybrid would’ve been a better choice than the Avenger imo, seeing as there were two Tigers in the German pack.
