The premium vehicle culture problem - Do people even play this game for fun anymore?

My trees are such a mess right now with all the moving around of vehicles, things into a folder, others out of a folder, moved up in rank, changed position in the tree… probably have to research hundreds of thousands RP more to continue where I left out by researching a bunch of garbage vehicles I don’t want.

I stopped at 7br.No fun in the game after that

This is what I am talking about: they do this fro the purpose to slow down grinding. I remember times when you could grind a specific raw or column without carrying so much about the rest. Now they forced you to triple your time towards the tops. You just have to grind and buy evry vehicle which is ridiculous but nevertheless effective for their business scheme. Well can"t blame them for the aim to grind the maximum profit, can we? I would do the same in their shoes. But the game somehow has lost its charm. Don"t get excited as few years ago before they discovered the magic formula.

They do it whenever they were ‘forced’ to improve RP grind and whatnot, find ways to increase the grind through other means to negate any gains.

Recently when they foldered the vehicles, they also moved a lot of vehicles to higher ranks and into different trees that ultimately negated pretty much all of the RP reductions, and now we have rank 8 for unknown reasons which only ads even more RP.

Despite all of it, we still have the same RP gains we did 10 years ago but 10x more to research.

It is a matter of your own way to set your mind. I doubt that because you changed your mindset and listened some guru podcasts you became rich. There is none rich playing WT mate. <aybe you get comfortable enough and you convinced yourself that you are somehow superior to someone on god forgotten land, but in reality you are the same slave as we all are. Peace!

Thank you for this impulse to think about again what I’ve written there…
How did I get there? Podcasts … can provide food for thought. So can reading. But in the end, it’s the decision to do something. What others don’t se e is usually how often I’ve failed. And btw … I’m not rich .
I think there are some people who lie to themselves rather than change something because it’s easier. But I don’t want to put myself above anyone. I just want to be at peace and live a life that feels good for me.
I’m not going to put myself in a position of “you have to do it this way and that way …” I’ve made that mistake often enough. Everyone has a choice. For many people, the path is certainly more difficult and even shittier than for me.
And I also realise that we’re all stuck in the same soup called the system. Especially here in Sweden, it’s a very transparent one. As a citizen, I am absolutely transparent. But I knew that before I came here. But I’d rather be here than in my old home country …
All the best and thanks for your comment.

I’m guessing this was the old mentality from earlier times in the game’s lifespan because I have the same sense too, to stay in lower tier and spade out vehicles. I have yet to unlock a jet even though I’ve played on and off for years. This battlepass gave me one, but I don’t have much to help it in the British tree, and I’m not that skilled at RB at that BR. I’ve been playing tanks, but I think the highest unlock I have is 8.0. I just play on and off.
I can understand the mentality that exists now especially with the e-sports type streaming that takes place. People are hyped and want to play the top stuff, and there’s a method for getting there if you pay out a few dozen dollars.

The impatient nature of many players can be clearly seen in the game mechanics where money is at stake. Even when playing, things have to happen quickly … so fast that some manage to burn up 3 tanks in 5 minutes. As an opponent, you can rely on the impatience of your opponent. It’s just stupid if your own team is even more impatient. I myself also had a problem with patience. The KV2 cured me.

Agree. The isuue is though that the game is totally unbalanced and “random” damage kills it, however I think at is a matter of patience and character, I am not a big fun of slow vehicles, by the time you reah battlefield you are killed in oneshot by some camper from the respawn so can"t really see much fun in driving slowly, You see, if the game would have been balanced by gamers skill instead, it will become much more balanced and interesting. But that is another story for another game perhaps.

Did Warthunder be fun somedays ? that’s hard to believe.

There is one Prem Tank I hate because basically indestructable which is the Obj 292

Please tell me which tank can’t destroy it in +/- 1 B.R. matchmaker?

From what I know only russian bias can destroy russian bias

So You should check that in game instead of writing on forum as You are wrong.

This is my first time in a forum so I am Sorry if I am wrong

You can use armor analysis to learn about tank weakspots

Ok thanks
