She certainly isn’t waltzing on War Thunder.
The poor old girl is forced to fight tanks that can penetrate it even when angled whilst it struggles to hit them back. It can barely penetrate most of the opposition it’s facing whilst tanks like the PZIV F2/H can annihilate it from across the horizon with OPHE.
It being designated as a heavy tank is also somewhat hypocritical considering it’s only around 27 tonnes. It might’ve been a heavier tank for 1940 but considering that the time travelling mediums it faces are just as heavy I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that the two spawns are incredibly unfair… especially when its armour is largely useless, the gun is mostly useless and it’s not exactly the most sprightly tank to go with it.
Come on Gaijin lower the Matilda’s BR and actually make a British tank somewhat competitive for once.

Matilda use to be 3.0.
When Matilda was 2.3 getting less than 6 frags a match with it meant being one of the least skilled players to exist.
2.7 is more correct for it, though whenever decompression occurs again it should go back to 3.0.
When I was new to the game I bought a premium camo for that matilda and a few other vehicles under BR 3.0. I haven’t played matilda in ages, it’s so slow, and paper thin armour. Everything you say is true. I barely does any damage to anything except maybe a puma. Even the puma can probably kill the matilda. Why waste time in this tank lol
edit: thanks for reminding me that this tank exists, there are a lot of bad tanks at this BR, I might just put the matilda back into a 3.0 lineup so I have another tank to fool around with. Low BR matches are great for building stress and tension to ensure that I never have a good day. I’m not satisfied until all 100 of my tanks are totally burnt-out and in the hanger, with basically no SL to show for my efforts.
Cheers.
