The Pantsir SM-SV’s new 57E6M missile has a higher average speed across a 30km flight path than the top speed of all other top tier competitors SAM systems, barring the Aster-30 and probably the Buk-M3. Its avg speed along a 30km flight path is almost 2x that of the next fastest missile in another nation actually.
With this monstrosity in-game, gaijin needs to stop screwing the other nations SAM system. Its so much better than all other SAM systems as currently modelled in-game that it should probably be a full BR bracket above them all if gaijin refuses to revisit all the other SAM models.
I didnt make the table, but its likely because with how much better the Pantsir SM-SV is, theres effectively no reason to ever play the Buk-M3 if you have both.
That being said, they also have a slightly older table with a different target if you want to see how the Buk-M3 stacks up to the other missiles on this table:
Basically, Buk-M3 has similar top speed and better range, but its much slower to accelerate, has way more drag, and the entire system is significantly worse than the SM-SV.
literally wouldnt do anything. Assuming it would get a big ass radar the problem would be the same as on BUK. Super slow refresh rate + big as a barn = completely useless.
And i dont know if patriot has TVC, if yes, cool. If not then its going to be even less useful than type 03.
What we need more is the radars ingame being made better. Either they actually model the back scan that is missing on many radars ingame, or they just artificially buff refresh rate to be more in line with irl refresh rates
None of the current top tier SAM’s have functioning ESA’s in-game, the only nation that does is russia with the Buk-M3 having ESA’s on their TELARs and the SM-SV also having an ESA. Every other top tier SAM is just modelled as a normal mech scan radar.
Some like the SLM/Type 03/NASAMS even get screwed on datalink count, with only 4. This is mostly only an issue on the SLM though, since it has the shortest lock range at 10km max, and the seekers seem unable to engage munitions on their own, meaning they need to be supported by datalink more than any other SAM.
