Nowhere near to the extent that the new pantsir does.
The addition of it was unnecessary. We can say the buk is bad and whatnot but it doesn’t mean it’s warranted to add the new pantsir. It was literally only added to benefit Russian lineups. I can only imagine the win rates for them now.
The most annoying thing is that 1m limit.
I can’t even lie, I use the Pantsir SM-SV and agree it is stupidly good. I have never been able to intercept so many munitions and still have missiles left over let alone the speed of the 95Ya6M, I get you have to keep a radar lock to get the AHEAD fuze to work but the pure speed and pull makes it worth it, but I haven’t really worried about that because the radar is so good.
Its somewhat depressing to me because Gaijin didn’t need to add it and just makes it harder for NATO countries to get their stuff off for CAS while Russia can ensure most the time that munitions can’t get through whatsoever.
its fun how russia has to fight kh-38 for a single patch and instantly get a brand new pantsir which is at least has op has the original was
also instantly giving it 3 types of missiles all good in their own way

Iris-T, like most multi-vehicle AA, has its weak spots. The Sm SV doesn’t have any at all—at least I haven’t found any yet.

I mean you can coordinate with people on discord when playing the game to distract the Pantsir while you sneak up on it

I had a fully loaded Su-30SM, launched all my KH-38s and they all including 2 glide bombs (somehow) were intercepted.
Then the cherry on top? Despite me flying away, getting low, flaring, and notching… the IRIS-T hit me about 14-16 miles from the battlefield.
Edit: was notching because an F-15E was also chasing, since people think I was notching an IR missile.

Actually in a test of that LDIRCM system, but myself and 4 others.
We found the irist can kill the mi-28mm despite firing into the Ldircm field.
And the mi-28mm was inconsistently hit, but hit more often than not.

I mean, I more so see an issue that the Pantsir SM-SV unlike the SLM has 4 30mm guns and smokes while the SLM doesn’t have any of that. Additionally, the SLM can usually be screwed over by helis with LDIRCM while Pantsir SM-SV can’t.

Plus the MI-28NM can be hit mainly because the SLM missile has Datalink
Playing russia top tier is awful, top tier is 100% Germany vs USA and you pray you get Japan or Sweden or Israel maybe even Jap/Swed on your team. For all the hand holding russia gets it’s still at or below Germany, Japan, Britian minus the USA (to be fair USA gets a lot of noobs to begin with). The aircraft is very subpar compared to Europe and USA. I want russia to have nice things but not at the expense of the entire BR brackets. ERA is obsolete but hey without it those russian tanks would be popping like soda cans left and right. The reload buff was definitely needed but USA still gets 5 secs on Ace crews (which i have) and Japan has a deadly 4 sec.

Oh no, Im not defending that. I admit its stupid fast, hell I managed to have a current K/D of 8.0 unless its a bit lower or higher right now
