But whats the middle ground, DIRCM is DIRCM, unless it has blind spots, making it do what its not supposed to do is problematic and a whole new debate
LDIRCM can currently stop multiple missiles at once, even though it shouldn’t. Firing two IR missiles in quick succession should overwhelm a LDIRCM and ensure a hit.(LDIRCM works by blinding the missile with a laser. It can’t do that to two targets simultaneously.
Furthermore, certain missiles like IRIS have countermeasures implemented to defeat LDIRCM.
These are the two things affecting all LDIRCM helicopters right now. For the Mi-28NM more specifically, it has a DIRCM frontal protection bubble even though there’s no emitter there. So that one also has to go.

LDIRCM, as it’s name says, basically interrupts the IR missile’s seeker by pointing at it with a laser.
as u may already know, lasers in WT are limited to 1 target, so if u shoot 2 missiles to the Mi-28NM and it’s LDIRCM, one of them should hit, but none of them does.
Gaijin has overexagerated the LDIRCM capabilities making it a forcefield to fool all IR missiles, u can literally launch 16 IRIS-T missiles to it and none of them will hit.

By that Logic a Tornado is easier to multipath because it is lighter?
It’s a massive stretch to say a jet is better at multipatjing because its lighter, heavier. It is purely down to flight characteristics.
FGR2 being a heavy fast lump was quite stable down low whereas Typhoon is very twitchy

i only said that Su-30 is obviously heavier than F-15E, not that F-15E is easier to multipath cuz it’s “lighter”.

Your ability to multipath is down to the instructor.
Nothing to do with the size.
Instructor is what makes Typhoon twitch down low but the Gripen flies great.
what do u think it’s easier to hit, a Flanker or a Hornet?

skyranger 30 can multi track and engage numerous targets like pantsir’s TWS
there are others IRL
eg. Multi-Mission Launcher - Wikipedia
which can carry 60 at once with its quad packed missiles
except the prevalence of very effective russian AA does make other CAS much less effective, on top of having less capable munitions
except it was still one of the best AAs in the game even in the most recent update or two
yes except russian CAS is by far the most oppressive, and other nations CAS have to fight against russian AA which is in itself very oppressive against most CAS

Still not an all in one system and requires multiple vehicles, but still a good idea!
Even if it is the most opressive, it doesnt take away from CAS as a whole being opressive against everyone for years now.
it was actually added the same update as SLM for both Mi28NM and Z10ME, just they got fire and forget missiles an update later

Vikhr’d this pantsir in mirror match some time ago. Sent 3 vikhrs, they only got one. Other two took him and adats out. Either sm sv owner was incompetent or radar couldnt track 2 vikhrs behind first one.
