The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

Not particularly in this forum but it gets said quite a lot…

That’s a lot of convenient pro-Russian mistakes to just be a coincidence.

  • LMUR receiving proper top attack flight path day 1 while JAGM added same patch has a broken flight path and Hellfire still not receiving it for years, despite being bug reported is also a mistake?

  • Gaijin taking the time to code an entire frontal DIRCM area to the Mi-28NM even though no emitter exists there is also a mistake?

  • KH-38MT not only existing in-game but using Gen 3 thermal instead of blurry low zoom Gen 1(Info from the same marketing brochure they used). Must also be a mistake, I guess.

  • BMPT having a turret basket that protects against spall, while NATO turret baskets are specifically coded to generate spall?(even though they shouldn’t) BMPT ammo properly blowing up during first dev then having internal ammo detonation removed? Both mistakes.

Must I go on? Or do we start being honest here and see a pattern? They’re not even hiding it by now.

Okay hold on, hold on, hold on. I wanna hit up on this.

If we got any Gunner Heat PC players in here, they know the Abrams basket (which is modeled in that game btw) is a spall generator because of how its orientated lol… the round goes into the open basket, gonna generate spall…

They most likely removed that because 30mm ammo that doesnt even produce that much explosive force, feeding in a straight line, wont chain react like its some Michael Bay movie. Its why they also applied it to a one off italian vehicle during that update

Yes, HE.

I do die by chance if someone strikes the HE belt. But let me ask you, in APDS belts, do you really think youd get that same effect? I mean, its why you specifically mention HE right? Even theough everyone carries AP…

All vehicles produce fire geysers which isnt always realistic in certain circumstances…

Id like to add that in the case of 20mm on german planes, they would sometimes explode when struck, but they didnt chain detonate where all the ammo cooked off
It simply had enoughforce from a cluster exploding to blow the wing apart, it didnt detonate the entire reel of ammunition.

Dude, propellant will ignite, causing rapid temperature and pressure build up, especially in such an enclosed space. This will also lead to ammo cookoff and thus having 30mm AP round fired inside the vehicle, casing being ejected around, and so on.

This isn’t just one round having a malfunction but a damn sabot cruising through with all its residual energy, superheated fragments, and so on activating the belt. The vehicle has no blowout pannel to evacuate all that pressure and heat, it’s all going to build up inside the BMPT crew area.

Literally proving my point, thank you. The pressure and heat blows up the wing and is reduced that way(like a blowout panel would) instead of being contained inside the solid interior of a tank.

Anyway, this is not the subject of this topic so no point continuing really, especially if you don’t believe this is possible.

By this logic, 20, 23, 25, 30 and maybe 35, 40, 57 mm ammo shouldnt explode on every other tank.

That is also true, not even vehicles only holding .50 shouldnt instantly detonate and why I said they adjusted 30mm chain ammo on a vehicle that was suffering the same problem.

That’s what the programming pod on F-15s, F-16s, and probably F-18s is for.
Receives radar, programs that into the HARM in-flight.

DCS doesn’t even have Russian bias accusations nearly as often as War Thunder, and DCS actually has over-performing Soviet aircraft throughout its history. Not intentionally biased, just from older standards.

People that believe in bias need to talk to people more, get more ideas of what’s going on, and think critically.
Especially about this subject where there’s an easy solution to this perceived problem:
Waste the Pantsir SMSV’s spawn by… not spawning CAS.

No, the HARM can use it’s own seeker to provide a baseline capability, the HTS pod is practically just the APR-38 off the F-4G in podded form so it can be missionized and so handles threat geolocation and is a larger antenna for better ranged performance.

later versions (Revision 7 and later) of the ASQ-213 HTS can even generate GPS coordinates to permit handoff to non HARM stores, or datalink to other systems via LINK-16.

So can you explain for the class how to square the fact that the reports that would overhaul the FIM-92 (potentially extended to the Mistral and other western RAM missiles), not yet being actioned after a year and a half and counting, then? Its not as if they weren’t of consequence at the time, or are somehow not important.

Something is obviously wrong with Gaijin’s inaction, be it either improper Triaging said reports or overlooking them repeatedly.

Copy of an older post of mine:

My theory is that there is one or a few lead devs at Gaijin who are hardcore Pro-Russians and/or big believers that Russian technology is superior to all. Might not even be BVVD himself but simply one OG dev in a strategical leadership spot in the studio. Other devs either don’t care enough to say anything about it or can’t say anything about it due to his leadership role.

There has been proof of that behavior on the old RU forum. Someone confirmed to me the other day that the biased dev is still a lead dev at Gaijin.(he ruined the Type 10 armor because he doesn’t believe the tank can have good armor.)

I met many Russian individuals of this type during my travels to Eastern Europe + those I met online. They truly believe stuff made in the West is inferior to anything made in Russia. This is exactly how you end up with situations in War Thunder where the Stinger is nerfed solely because they don’t believe it can pull more G than the Igla. Or how manufacturer information bug report on the EF-2000 is denied by calling it ‘Marketing lies’ because they don’t believe it can perform that well.

It’s not even malice really, just what they truly believe deep down.

Specifically he argued it was bad because the armor had “obvious holes”, which he then used as a reason to essentially manufacture armor holes that didn’t exist. Most notably NNHack decided that there would be large cutouts next to the UFP armor for the track tension mechanism that is external on the real tank and that the gun trunnion would be a hollow 20mm piece of sheetmetal holding the gun, many bad faith estimates on armor shapes.

But that doesn’t mean it was only the Type 10, he also had some terrible takes on other nations essentially boiling down to “Only Russia can make good tanks” with few exceptions where he called German and Korean tanks at least decent.
People like that just shouldn’t be put in charge with designing these vehicles. There’s personal biases amd everyone has some, but when they start to overshadow the accuracy and cause bad-faith implementation that’s a step too far.

On the money. I couldn’t remember the exact name of the dev and how it went. That is exactly it. Good memory.

Since Russia has Anti munitions AA now there’s no problem in Buffing the brimstone anymore right?

Lack of knowledge on how manpad missiles work.
I think I said this to you back when in the heat of this as well.

My ultimate statement was: “Should probably be fixed, but it’ll result in higher BRs for all Stinger missile systems if fixed. So… yeah.”
Right now, their BRs are where their performance is, so the only thing gnawing at my mind is that it’s just inaccurate.
And inaccuracies I can cope with on my own, I don’t need to complain constantly about them for my own coping process about inaccuracies of vehicles and weapon systems.

This can be accounted for as need be, by adjusting which variants are available to each vehicle individually.

And besides its not like the Strela-10M hasn’t moved a long way up from where it was initially implemented.

I don’t bring them up constantly for no reason. It’s in the slight hope that by mentioning it it may be noticed by someone who can do more about it, and thus be actioned.

Strella is 1.0 BR higher than it was originally.

The -92A would only receive the restored maneuverability (stingers originally had 18G overload).
The -92B would additionally add the Contrast mode and extend lock on range out to ~6-8km
(yet to be reported) The -92E would use English bias during Pre-boost motor similar to Igla-S

The -92K would add the proximity fuse
