The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

Like the Su-57 - so stealthy the thing is virtually invisible in any skies away from an air show!

Damn - I think I need to get the RAF on the line - those F-35s that keep on going over my house plainly do not have the same stronk abilities…

If it’s using AARGM-ER seeker+electronics, then it should have MMW radar and INS/GPS guidance. I would also expect a IIR seeker as an option too though.

“Unfortunately, the Buk turned out to be underperforming, so we decided to add the Pantsir-SM”

Clearly your fault for wanting to play in the same match as a Pantsir SM-SV.

(BUK was too bad , we reaaaaallly needed the SM-SV)

The buk fail against close range encounter and now the Pantsir-SM-SV is filling that gap. The reaction is unbelieveble in the clip expect easy kill instead he died before firing the missile.

Pantsir was already filling the gap? The SM-SV was a forced addition, which in competent hands, can deny an absurd number of munitions.

The Pantsir missile range is around 20 km compare with the Pantsir-SM-SV with different missiles for counter CAS and scout drones is the Pantsir-SM-SV upgraded Pantsir against 14.0 br CAS.

Its more than just counter.

Its just deny any CAs attempt.

A single decent Pantsir SM-SV player can handle 2 enemy plane at the same time while providing clear sky for its team.

Meanwhile other SPAA systems struggles to even deal with single CAS platform.

CAS vs SPAA suppose to be somewhat balanced, not one sided for single nation.

every AA on VLS fails against close range AAs

SAMP/T
IRIS-T
Spyder
HQ-11
CAMM

So not a good excuse for adding SM-SV

The Pantsir-SM-SV are rare spaa in battles compare to classic Pantsir.

and? that doesnt mean it should be excused

And?
You surprised?
You get the Basic Pantsir as a Free Vehicle, wonder why its more common

It remind me when the Pantsir came out and everyone complain because they plane got shot down.

you mean when pantsir was added

and was by far the best AA in the game for over 2 years?

despite the fact that its predecessor was still competitive with every other nations SAMs?

your right its absolutely like that, where gaijin invents a “problem” and gives russia an overpowered AA as a “solution”

IRL is not that good as in this game, ive senn many vids missing cruise missles, other munitions or drones. IRL a pansir SAM will never be able to take down a plane + its munitions.

You mean the addition of pantsir at the time when multiple nation’s best CAS was a damn Tornado? With even worse flight model than it is now?
It’s just pantsirgate all over again, they never listen - they never care.

I’ve just noticed that the Pantsir-S1 radar is actually way better than the Pantsir-SM’s at picking up low flying targets because you can set it to the 30 degree horizontal search mode, it picks up things that are flying really low to the ground whereas the SM’s radar won’t see anything until it flies above like 100m from the ground. The Pantsir SM’s radar can’t be configured below 90 degrees of elevation so it’s one drawback from the Pantsir S1 but it more than makes up with the 40km 50G pulling APFSDS AHEAD darts.

Not really and besides we’ll see them more and more, people just need to finish their grind

If rarity was an excuse to add OP stuff, maybe we could consider a star destroyer for Italy or Israel

Yes, because Pantsir S1 was the most OP addition at the time as well ?

Compared to ITO (best AA before pantsir) it has 4 more missile, 6km of range more and 4x30mm guns

And before you complain about it being a giant and non mobile truck, ITO is also exactly that.

Gaijin could have added a balanced AA for russia in the form of TorM1 or even TorM2, but of course they did not

Mind you Pantsir SM SV, not only having absurd missiles that don’t respect the laws of physics, also somewhat fixes the mobility issue with a tracked chassis…

I’m not sure how that would work, as changing elevation the radar scans in game does absolutely nothing.
SV radar has an advantage here, as it scanns - 10 to +80 every rotation, instead of splitting the elevation covered into bars, 2, 4 and 8 respectively (meaning it needs that about of seconds (in Pantsir case) to covers it’s elevation).
The only thing that could influence detection are hard values set by Gaijin, such as notch gate, power etc.

Nassams with the AMRAAM-ER is pretty damn good
Its held back by the terrible radar though you really need to be careful with how you launch as if the radar is drifting off at the time and does not have the track file updated the missile will miss very often
Type-81C has the same exact issue as does the CLAWS

Okay someone decided to flag my post for responding to someone about the Nassams?
Genuinely next time could you just message me what i did wrong to offend you instead of flagging it?
