The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

Not really, PPI’s (what we have in game) tend to be reserved for Battery command vehicles(handoff a sector or target to a Launcher), For the actual TEL(AR) an E-scope is more likely these days as it’s more relevant to determining if the Threat can be engaged or not.

That would be true for older systems that had independent displays for their tracking radars.

Modern systems will have a map with overlay.

they shouldnt have, saclos sams have been underperfoming since the longest time, the problem is that sams that rely on fox 3 are straight up disfunctional, and thats without getting into the piss poor kinematics.

The only missile Ive seen with good kinematics is the Buk but I think the reason it tends to get less kills is a mix of how big it is and the slow radar spin that can get it killed sometimes but I could be wrong

I noticed that only few players spawn air against russian teams. This might result in fewer kill opportunities.

Personnally I almost never spend like 800 points for a jet. In most cases its a waste of spawn points. Its too hard to score vs. Russians.

True, I just wish they made the ARH missiles better track targets like the Type 03. I can somehow notch those missiles easily compared to other missiles for SPAA.

That could be down to performance of players and them not gaining enough SP to utilize their CAS platforms. Plus the majority of premium only players don’t have TT CAS aircraft in their lineups and will most likely ODL or spawn drones.

Can confirm though that the Pantsir SM-SV is fun

I can confirm that many people seem to not know that you can use the launcher radar.

Admittedly, I suck using the Buk lol

Cas is just absurdly expensive to spawn. Aside from choppers, the sky is mostly clear. Pppl just notice that spending these high prices rarely leads to profit.

Mayb its also the case that most ppl don’t even get the neccessary spawn points. Either way. The game is less interesting that way. You have super high costs for a cas platform and then a Pantsir for like 80 spawn points is easily able to counter all incoming ordnance and snipe the jet on top.

I do if I compare my stats on it and SPAA like the NASAMS 3 and the Sky Sabre

A while back, I had an idea of Gaijin adding ARMs to help put pressure on SPAA but that was before stuff like the SLM, Buk, NASAMS and etc got added.

Even with ARMs, due to the SM-SV’s missile loadout it can intercept them just as easily. It would just create a meta of turning off radar which would make it even harder for CAS platforms to know where the SPAA are/when they have been shot at.

I mean, there’s always the good old strategy called barrel stuffing

Mainly due to map design not allowing it to be effective. Big missle needs time to get up to speed, and making 15-10km shots when someone pops up is not ideal.

For ranges like that, there’s more ideal SPAA for the job.

I take the BUK into custom battles on large maps and let the results speak for itself, heck that’s where everybody went to do the testing for the BUK before it got released.

To be fair, for most of the games lifespan this was a always a non-issue because CAS was generally always on top.

So the moment that “balance” gets disrupted, I wouldn’t be so quick to critcize the low spawn costs of not just the Pantsir but all SPAA in general, you have to look back on why that is and also why CAS cost has went up.

Now Gaijin even can’t repair bug. Don’t fantasy they can repair ARH MSL correct guide…
They are just a huge Russian patriotic business group .

hes talking about comparing kinematics to other missiles, the buk right now is the only ground launched fox 3 with good kinematics.

Here to say SM-SV is still BS
