or are you gonna tell me someone AFK flying is a prime example of how OP a missile is?, thats the same as saying the old pantsir is OP cause it can hit someone at 18km if they fly at altitude without any form of evasive manuevers at all.

first of all, thats my clip. You can even see the name in the kill feed if you had paid attention.
second of all, thats a 36km hit with missile being still vastly supersonic, its not approaching you at snails pace, its coming at you at M3.3, Which in turn means that at closer ranges it is much faster. Additionally the person in the F15 kept climbing which means the missile is having to expend even more speed since its flying at a more vertical angle.
Thirdly, you cant be for real to say its somehow harder to play SM SV than SLM or similar when all you have to do is press 3 buttons. Lock → fire missile → open radar screen.
If you are doing badly in SM SV then that is more your own incompetence at grasping simple mechanics than anything else.
And im not even counting the multitudes of advantages you have over SLM/SkySabre/Mamba/etc. by being a small single vehicle SPAA capable of self defense with way more missiles than any other SPAA ingame and smokes to break LOS on SAL and IR guided weaponry that you dont wish to or cant intercept for some reason.
If guided by window licking troglodytes sure. However if you use the radar screen the only way to dodge the jet of 3500 fragments is by changing direction during the missile detonation. Otherwise the spall will hit you. You can feel free to scroll up where i posted in this thread to see the hilarity that is 95Ya6M spall profile.
Its almost, almost as if the biggest problem at top tier for that time was oh idk, Kh38 spam that had no counterplay outside of spawning a plane. And then guess what, there was counterplay that reduced the amount of Kh38s being thrown around for a brief moment before LMUR was added to the helicopter effectively immune to SLM.
But yes, you and people like you seem to just ignore that part of history and cling to “its hypocrisy” because thats easier than to accept that there was an inherent inbalance in CAS (and still is) between russian CAS and everyone else.
