The Panther KF51!

I wouldn’t think this would be the case, since the MGS’s in game rn don’t suffer too much with that, so unless there’s a load of electronics stuffed in there i suspect it won’t be that bad. Besides, toptier is breach repair sim anyway and the exact armour specifications on these modern MBT’s aren’t confirmed

My schizo ass after imagining that dm73 can go through k6

OH NO, THE MOST EXPORTED (Western) MBT IN THE WORLD IS GOING TO ANOTHER TECH TREE!!!

No problem, everyone starts somewhere

M829A2 defeats K-5 under 1.5km, and M829A3 reliably defeats third-gen ERA, with M829A4 (presumedly) being better at it.

According to… What?

M829A2 doesn’t incorporate ANY anti-ERA characteristics, and the best that can be found on its ability to defeat ERA are forum posts saying “it just brute forces itself through, trust me bro”.
It’s even funnier that you’ve gotten an exact range for this, too…

M829A3? The APFSDS designed in 1997?
Relibaly defeating a KE-defeating ERA that was first shown to the public in 2006?

Now it’s obvious you’re making this up on the fly.

Kontakt-5 simply included a plate that was sent out at a high velocity to disrupt a penetrator via explosives.
Relikt goes on to feature a 15mm plate instead of an 11mm plate, on top of NERA elements backing that plate, being close to 2cm of rubber.

The only difference shown between 829A3 and 829A4 is ADL functionality that allows it to interface with the M1A2 SEPv3.
I wouldn’t be surprised if nothing changed, seeing the state America’s military finances had been in during the mid 2010s.

Lol so you seem to be fine with a abrams going to Germany then?

How do you literally complain about the abrams going to other nation, then jump to the conclusion you did when I replied to your “OHHHH NOOO NOT THE ABROOMZ GOING TO ANOTHER NATION!” Post?

I have, never complained about that, I don’t even have an Abrams, if it was me I’d want it in the British and Swedish tree, but German doesn’t use them, and Poland isn’t a part of Germany anymore.

Except you did tho…

if he did, just quote it and be done with it
you just saying he did leads nowhere

I did, that’s the quote right there.

He literally complained about the abrams going to another nation…

ah got it

in that regard

britain doesnt use a<brams or leoaprds either and neither is asutralia or canada part of the british tech tree

On the M829E3 versus M829A2: “The design is driven by the need to counter KE-effective explosive reactive armor (ERA) and the desire to destroy targets at a longer range than is possible with the current M829A2.”

Also the Soviets having the exact same opinion of M829A2: “The built-in remote sensing of our Kontakt-V tanks is overcome: [skipping unrelated ATGM/grenade launcher stuff] foreign BPS M829A1, M829A2, M829A3, DM43, DM53, having a pointed head part, which allows to overcome the DZ without detonating explosives. In other words, our built-in remote sensing can only deal with old ammunition that has one cumulative charge, or with domestic BPS.”

You said yourself that Kaktus is third-generation ERA, and it was around before the M829A3. Is it hard to see that M829A3 could take out other third-generation ERA when M829A3 was meant to “counter advances in armor protection technologies, including explosive reactive armor”?

It’s the only visual difference.

Going off of this budget justification, M829A4 performs better than prior rounds: “The M829A4 captures several new technologyies along with components previously used on previous APFSDS-T cartridges, but incorporates technology advancements to yield significant improvement in performance over previous fielded cartridges.”

Even Northrop Grumman themselves state “M829A4 is a line-of-sight kinetic-energy cartridge designed specifically for the Abrams M1A2 System Enhancement Program version 3 Main Battle Tank. It provides the Abrams the ability to defeat threat vehicles equipped with third-generation explosive reactive armor.” Wherever you’re getting your info from its incorrect.

Are you aware of armata’s capabilities though? You can hold your answer, because you’re not - and there’s no way for you to be.

more aware then u are apparently

you still didnt answer my question

the tech demonstrator KF51 is not better then armata
once the kf51 project is fully realised it might be better then the armata but this still isnt the case,
And before you call me a russian main. I am a german main and one of the mods in the german war thunder tech discord which handles most od information gathering /bug fixing etc.
So no i am not a russian lover and biased.
If anything i would be biased towards the KF51

I’m not going to believe you until you quote when I’ve said that.

I think…you are trolling at this point.

Find the document (challenge impossible):

Give me a document that states that Bundeswehr uses the Abrams.

in that regard show me the british manual
you are kinda being hypocritical asking for stufff for britain but then saying no for germany
