The Mitsubishi F-2A engine is too weak compared to the real one

Hello!
In this topic I would like to point few things about the Mitsubishi F-2A engine.

Some time ago I did a research (It’s possible that I can be wrong so please correct me if I did a mistake) and found out that the max thrust of the engine (Ishikawa-Harima F110-IHI-129 which is an export version of General Electric F110-GE-129 with the same specifications) we have in game is equal to 6960 kgf = 68.25 kN and with afterburner 11480 kgf = 112.58 kN.

The irl F110-GE-129 specs are:

  • 76,3 kN of max thrust (~7780 kgf)
  • 128,9 kN with afterburner (~13144 kgf)

That’s definitely not a small difference and i guess it should be corrected. (If I’m not wrong)
Here’s some sources I rely on ( I know that these are not the best ones but all of them says the same that the engine we have in game rn is underpowered)

You can bug report it here (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about): (Gaijin.net // Issues)

A guide on how to report bugs can be found here: ([Navigation] Technical Knowledge Base | War Thunder Wiki)

For engines you might be missing the difference between static thrust vs installed thrust. The engine looses some power once it’s installed into an aircraft and doesn’t have full access to airflow. This usually results in a loss of thrust of about 10-15%
