so what? real combat is focused on BVR and dogfights would rarely happen, even if you get your only dogfight mode u will never have a 1v1 dogfight because you will always be swarmed by others and then u gonna complain about that, just accept modern jets are not designed to play ww2 style of fights for most of the time but to engage enemies from far distance.

Real combat… this is a video game my guy. It isn’t about real combat, it isn’t even remotely close to how real combat plays out…

as I said go play korean war jets or ww2 props, some people love to play with all those missiles and radars for which top tier jets are made for.
Unlike you, i am not prohibiting you from loving to play with missiles and radars, and i also don’t have audacity to say something like “go play DCS if you love bvr fights so much”. Dogfights in 4th gen airframes are amazing and actually very fun. Moreover it’s the first time in years when top tier gameplay was shaken up from the ground and wasn’t just a powercreep fest with every update introducing new hard meta planes or weapons. And BVR gameplay in general is pretty stale. It’s very mechanical and methodical with barely any room to showcase personal skill. Moreover it is much easier to “crack the code” of bvr combat and do well with it, skill ceiling is not very high.
Does airframe pulling 13G in a high speed turn and not dissasembling midflight makes sense to you? Does pilot surviving this overload makes sense to you? Does any other super “realistic” gameplay feature makes sense to you? It’s not about sense, it’s about fun. And there is much more fun in dogfights than bvr.
This is pretty crazy of a take to have considering all the mechanics that go into it, the forethought required, and the skill to do it consistently without dying. Any idiot can get bvr kills but its rare for a player to know how to get BVR kills and not die consistently.
You’ll note if you actually read what I said that I wasn’t referring to IRL realism.
NUH UH. All missiles don’t do shit but I always die to missiles. Either all missiles work either none. I don’t want no “put everything on red” ahh game
It’s not crazy. Notching is pretty easy skill to acquire. And once you learn to notch and position yourself there isn’t a lot of room to improve fruther, that’s it. I don’t say that you can’t’ enjoy BVR, but i will stand by words that dogfights are much more engaging and interesting.

Short of a 1v1 mode there is no way to make these jets dogfighting an entertaining thing for a gamemode. A 16v16 is still 16v16 and pointless to dogfight in.
because playerbase is extremely diverse. And considering that WT has zero skill based matchmaking you will always have a big chance to meet an enemy who is completely clueless.

And i still will assume. It’s a natural thing to do, that’s it. You want to be vague - be prepared that people will take assumptions.
And i don’t have any points about gamemodes and such. We aren’t experiencing some sort of a test event for new gamemode or such. It’s just a tiny little bug that will be fixed eventually and everything gonna get back to normal. But i am happy that i got to experience a few days of pure enjoyable chaos of 4th gen gun only dogfights in 16v16 lobbies that’s all.
No suprising, its more fun when you don´t die by a singel hard-to-impossible to avoid missel all the time. But, you know, this isn´t Ace Combat. But a gaijin game, nothing is allowed to be fun, cause else, Anton could miss a penny that he could have squeezed out of little 13 year old timmy getting a gambeling addition from all the lootboxes.

nobody is forcing u to play top tier with missiles, I just gave you a suggestion if u don’t like it, don’t play it it’s simple as that, gaijin is trying to make a game that has features from real combat like BVR maybe they are not doing the best job with making it nearly realistic but it’s still a decent thing, and even if u get your dogfight mode u will start complaining about not having a clean 1v1, but swarm of 5 people on small map trying to kill you as well, no matter what they do or even when they actually listen to the community somebody will always complain or find a reason to complain about something, only dogfighting is not good either because u will always die to someone joining the fight.
What are you ranting about? My guy YOU are the one who is currently complaining lol. As i said above i am just happy to have the few days of enjoyable chaos of dogfights. It’s just a bug that will get fixed and you will get back your BVR to play.
