The Mikoyan-Gurevich project 1.44

If such cases existed, but I doubt

Technically they could since the Japanese F-16AJ is fake

True, but it still falls within “could it?”. Besides that, just middle range missiles and the loved/hated R-60

wdym by that?

It’s not a big surprise if we get access to F-35 or F-22 Russia would get same counterparts.

Su-57 is mostly impossible to come to the game as it’s not a full production scale product, so we barely know its capabilities.

Soviet Union has alot of cool projects and designs that could come to the game to substitute the Su-57 and make it fight F-35 or F-22.

In ground terms we would need a lot of improvements in the anti air issue, I’m talking about huge weapons to counter those aircraft in both sides.

I mean it falls within hypothetical. Beyond “Could it take gunpods? Just in theory?” only armament is medium range missiles and R-60s (and IIRC regular one, imagine dogfighting for rear-aspect shot in MiG-25)

Actually will be because they will most likely never add it until War Thunder’s 50th or 100th anniversary

We already have the Su-57 bro

I’m not talking about the Samokhodnaya Ustanovka 57 but Sukhoi Su-57 Felon.

I know it was a joke hehe.

Probably 4th gen. I think it needs stealth capabilities to classify as a 5th gen if my memory is correct.

It usually is considered a 4-1/2 gen fighter depending on who you ask.

Lockheed Martin marketing towards dumb politicians. In this planes case, the internal weapons bay capacity sets it apart from other 4 gens

There generally isn’t a baseline that hasn’t anything to do with marketing used and considering the first 5th gen was american and main gimmick was stealth, it just carried on

no offence but that plane looks like a child’s drawing of a stereotypical fighter jet

No there is a baseline of technical innovation that will set 1 gen from another. What technological innovation did this jet bring from 4th gen or 4.5 gen fighters?

No other 4th gen fighter can carry 10 AAMs internally

Since someone will have already said this things:
Yes the prototype built only had external hard points because the internal weapon’s bay (which the hypothetical production version should have had) were not built… if modelled in war thunder it probably would have said weapon bay (just like yak141 has IRST).

Second: idk about the prototype, but the project was intended to have S shaped air intakes.

Still, looking at 90s Russia, The chances this thing came any close to the F-22 Stealth capabilities are close to 0.

I get it was stated to have those but i don’t see the prototype fitting 10 R-77s internal. What was produced had multiple issues in trials and was canned.

It was an attempt at an 5th gen fighter but looks more like it created a 4.5 gen and was canned do to it.

That shit is annoying an Gaijin should stop doing that. If i submitted a document to the government with plans of a jet that could fly in reverse will Gaijin make and model that? It falls in the same boundaries.

Is this even a fifth gen?
