The marder at 7.7 and the xm800t at 8.0

half of american players are brain dead idiots they all crowd aorund one cap even if the others are not ours when you talk about staying with team that means im stuck with also being a idiot

hard to distinguish if it s freindly or not wiht the similar engine whine

whenever you hear a plane noise, press tab and check if your team has planes up, if not assume its coming for you or at least will find and shoot at you, shoot first

get to caps theres always a wandering player who just died

not quite sure what you mean, if there is an enemy at the capture point and you’re the only one there to see it, its a failure of the team, if youre the only one on one side of a map, you should retreat till friendlies show up

just teh 20mm is wildly inaccurate

its not that bad, you can get used to it

half of american players are brain dead idiots they all crowd

unfortunately not much you can do about that

the 20mm is still the problem all of your points are valid but by the time i figure out if we have planes up im already dead the inaccuracy isnt trainable its like when you rapid fire in csgo while moving type spread

in terms of killing tanks side on from less than 200m inaccuracy can be useful, the bullets have no post pen damage apart from themselves, so you need to wiggle your mouse to effectively kill crew, however taking out barrels with autocannons at 200m is hard regardless of how accurate the gun is

if its a russian tank at 200m, bad luck, take out their track, and hope for the best, remember if youre alone you’re gonna die, so dont be alone

the problem with planes may also be addressed soon with more usa spaa

go practice with the m41a1 and m18, transferable playstyles with guns better at killing tanks

also the reload thing doesn’t matter all the ammo for the thing is a single clip now too lol

and lets be honest the biggest loss with the xm800 going to 8.0 is that the 8.0 lineup uhhh doesnt really exist

only if oyu use 1 ammo type it aint like the m42/m19a1 guns plus you aint killing anything beyone close range so the “wiggle” you mentioned wont matter

the wiggle is more for close range, youd be surprised by how many people think if they point an autocannon at one place they can kill a whole tank

yeah you aint wrong there but you mentioned it at long range that was my point

Not to mention, it performs pooly at 7.7, but great at 8.3 bc there’s far more light tanks and weaker ass armor at 8.3, whilst at 7.7 you need fight alot of T-series heavy tanks and Tigers

not as many as you expect ive found more succses at lower br that high

Not sure how that would work. 8.3 has far more light tanks than 7.7

im telling you its true

yeah but no tiger 2s at 8.0*, many at 7.7
*there will always be german mains taking tiger 2s at every br they can

the main rule of thumb with light tanks is to always be aware, watch the killfeed and minimap and dont go places where things you cant kill exist

yeah ok you’ve change my mind thank you for this discussion

appreciate the feedback that is why i made this

no problem, I used to play the r3 a lot, the xm800t reminds me of the good ol day in the r3 when it was fully stabilised, imagine if they put the xm800t at 3.3 that would’ve gone done well i imagine.

I personally would always rather take the xm800t over the marder, even if the xm800t was like 9.0, speed is always the easiest way to win

speed just aint my playstyle i guess

and thats fine, warthunder accommodates many different playstyles, theres a tank for everyone, just keep going till you find something you really enjoy,

being good at the game is nowhere near as important as doing enjoyable things, theres a reason i have 20 days worth of playtime in custom battles

t26e5 at 6.7 and the t34 big gun big armor or light armor good gun the main thing i dont like about the xm800t plus the .3 difference from the sheridain or bradley

t26e5 is very funny i love pershings and its my favourite one, i can’t speak for the sheridan or bradley cause i don’t have them but i have similar things and they’re always enjoyable
