Those were all actually operated and owned permanently the US though. Same with most American vehicles in Britain which is a non issue. It’s stuff like the F-111C, Hornets, and now the potential Abrams that are a problem
The F-111’s could’ve been unique to the US if it wasn’t for that

Mustang Mk.1A WAS NOT (like pre-production and very early production run P-51) a US service aircraft, it was used by the RAF and Commonwealth forces. RAAF/RCAF Hornets are a non-issue because the US didn’t need clone aircraft.

That’s my mistake. Still an American plane though.
RAAF Hornets get BOL and the CF-188 could’ve been premiums instead of the US 18C early
Built to British requirements…

Still an American aircraft like the F-111C
P-51 are more Anglo-American, like the Harriers

Fair enough. There was definitely enough British contribution to call it a joint project like the Harrier II
The designer of the mustang was Edgar Schmued, a German.
Should Germany get mustangs because the designer is a german?

thats the most pathetic stretch ive seen. its the North American P-51. and i already conceded that its more of a joint project considering British contributions even though its obviously more known for its American use
Your mustang gatekeepery is even more stupid.
Harrier is also better known for its american service too but it shouldnt stay in america or britains tree exclusively.
It was a plane designed by a german to BRITISH requirements and produced by a company called North American.
First adopted by the BRITISH and later the americans after they went back on their initial plan to not adopt the aircraft.
you may conceed that the P51 is an anglo american aircraft but are still hellbent on keeping it exclusive.
if you want things like the mustang, F35 or Abrams to be exclusive in your pixel game because of national insecurities please get in a time machine and change reality

The fact it was made FOR the British first is should be enough to be called a British aircraft, it’s doesn’t matter where it was built who built it if we used it first in our service while the US rejected it then to me that’s no longer a US plane
its only prototypes and testbeds that go into producers nation.
Service vehicles go to nation of service and capture.
Mustangs should be in the british and american trees, treated no differently to the Canberra, sabre, harrier, Chaffee, Sherman, Centuion, patton or spitfire

that doesnt sound like Mustang gatekeeping.
obviously UK is getting this as the only tier one partner.
no good reason for this to go to UK though
did the US have Cents? i dont think the UK had pattons
Because we see facts and not blinded by ego trip that seems to brainwashing people over there thinking the US made everything.

You just said if the US made it and designed it but some stupid condition is not fulfilled it’s not an American vehicle lol 😂
Where is not seeing facts and where is the ego trip lol. It’s all you
USA used M1A1 AIM v.2 and similar SAs, change the US one to one of those (or change it to the Moroccan AIM) and put the Australian camo in the UK tree with the rest of our aussie junk.

wasn’t AIMv2 a different name for the SA or something?
They could also add a US AIM before the HC, then add an SA foldered under the M1A2, and FEP after the HC.
And leave the M1A1 AIM in the correct tree
I think there are some minor differences, but I could be wrong.
AIM v2 and SA are basically identical. Adding the US AIM would require removing the Australian flag from the current AIM and replacing it with an American one.
