But, if we’re talking hull down, the M1 has a significant advantage over eastern bloc tanks, with 10 degrees of depression and better optics.
And also, M883 wouldn’t make it any better fighting an eastern bloc tank in hull down

The reason why it’s pen is lower is because the reload compensates for it. You want more competitive pen, then Gaijin should reduce the reload as counterbalance.

The M774 is more than enough at that BR. Come on, give me a reason why the M1 shouldn’t be on par to it’s own BR. Also, every 105mm at that BR is 5 seconds and have better rounds that even what the M833 would be so that’s not a valid reasoning.

You want similar penetration as the 2A4? Then either the 2A4 should get a reload buff or the M1 should get a reload nerf.
Except it isn’t? It’s literally has the worst top APFSDS even when compared to other nation’s FIRST APFSDS. Heck, to add salt to the wound, the M1’s first APFSDS is the M735 with 292mm of pen…

The Abrams is easily one of the best 10.7 MBTs. It’s penetration is one of the few downsides it actually has.
That’s why I think it should get m833 and not m900 it would get an increase but it still wouldn’t be at the level of other MBTs

M1 is a pretty viable tank at it’s BR. This decompression was aimed to help whole BR brackets, and not to make M1 even stronger.
Even with M833 it would get a boost. The M1 is already one of the best 10.7s with low penetration being one of it’s few downsides.
Take away that downside and it’ll be incredibly strong compared to let’s say a 2A4.

I have, several times in game actually, usually I aim for the mantlet on russian tanks because LFP sometimes only gets autoloader, and also M883 wouldn’t make any new weakspots, it would be literally the same “issue”, nothing would change
