Sure, not saying VEAK is perfect or that it doesnt deserve some attention when it comes to bug fixing, but calling it “extremely underpowered” when at its BR, its actually one of the better choices, is dishonest.

Oh I never claimed personally to be extremely underpowered. It’s just bad and even though I have it in my lineup I rarely use it at all. It makes me even saltier that they decided to take away the HEVT about a month after I unlocked it so I got to experience the full VEAK glory untill it was taken from me and neutered into irrelevance.

I gotta be real with you, the Shilka is kinda goated though, though i prefer the Yenisei personally

Though i dont need the radar with them because they have better velocity than the veak with better fire rate. The veak if it had good velocity would be a good 7.7 SPAA but nobody 7.7 sweden, nobody plays the veak cause its terrible. So you can’t tell me its a good vehicle when its only semi decent factor is the radar which again velocity is so bad any pilot will make one move and never get hit.

It should be noted that you only see those barrel flames when you’re in third person (vehicle) view. When you’re actually using your gunners sight it is not visible at all. They should still tone it down, though.

1. Using the VEAK 40 against jets with a person who doesent fly in a straight line towards his target ca. 900-1.700m away and moving that would let you use your scope is the most worthless thing ever lol. With the HE-VT you could just make cirkles around the radar lead and one would hit by proxy. Now it cant do that and players will see the line of tracers (when the real ammunition the VEAK 40 uses didnt use tracers for its HE-I ammunition. even) And just manuever to the side and now ur rounds are too slow to hit him. Same if he is just not moving towards you in general. A jet at 7.7 is always about matching the speed of ur rounds so u wont hit them if he passes you after ca. 800-1.000m so you only have that 1.000-300m engagement range when you have a real chance to target the enemy. And at that point you really dont want to use 1st person in a SPAA

2. The real 40mm Bofors has a deflection cone so the gunner wouldnt be blinded with the muzzleflash. So in reality nothing would be seen by your POV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvojbfGAHqo&t=6s

Depending on what rounds they would give it it might be possible for it to end up as an “old VEAK” replacement at around 9.3 perhaps, with HE-VT (KULSGR 90) rounds but without the APFSDS.

(This doesn’t mean that the VEAK isn’t still in need of fixes as well)
