The Lvkv 42 and especially the VEAK 40 Struggle. Multiple fixes exist-

Munitions can be added for balance yes, if it can be proven that the vehicle can use the munition.

The VEAK project was canceled several years before the HE-VT round came into service, at which point the round came into service in the navy and not the army, the army didn’t get the rund untill even more years after that. Even while the HE-VT round was tested during early trials the VEAK was supposedly already canceled 6 months before the first tests (at least from what i have been able to find). They never even existed during the same time.

I m interestet by your sentanece. Who will want to play navel? Do they even have ww1/ww2 ships? Modern ships with missel as prmary weaopon wont come, wait, im off topic. How will sweden navy bring the he-vt ammo back? does modern swedish navy use the egsact same gun?

To my knowledge two prototypes were built, the turret from one was placed on the hull of the other and is currently in a museum (Panzer VIII Maus - Wikipedia). I’m not 100% certain on that one though.

soooooooooo, if the swedish navy comes, veak get its he-vt ammo?

The Bofors L/60 has been in active service since the 1930’s and the upgraded L/70 (and it’s many variants) since early 50’s. They are still in use today on the CV9040, Tridon Mk2 and several ships (some ships even built late 2010’s ) just to give some examples.

wait, if the Maus egsistet, why is the Maus temporarly unavailable?

And Malaysia got their Su30 few years before Kh38Ms were tested

This whole discussion was already had in a different thread regarding the E-100 and maus. The maus had everything built and tested even if somehow it never got put together and worked (which it did) it had all the tank parts built which more than meets the requirement for it to be in game. Even the E-100 while an inaccurate implementation had the hull almost completely built which still is enough to be added and is afaik more than certain japanese tank destroyers

But is that able to move, fire and do other tank things? Very unlikely. Just like E100 which is just hull with maus turret slapped on it.

because it is impossible to balance. So much armour that if it goes lower than 7.7 nobody in downtiers or slight uptiers will be able to kill it. many 7.7 vehicles struggle to kill it from the side/back at all. And yet in full uptiers it faces stabilisers and lrf dart slingers that have no issue killing it.

How does that counter my point? Doesn’t Malaysia still operate the SU30?

They do but they never operated kh38ms

Does that make it “fake”?
It was built, that’s enough for it to get added to the game from what i’ve seen.

Edit:
It at minimum moved and the turret was test fired: ( Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus Porsche Typ 205 / Tiger II(P) ) If this source is to be believed.

so?

This proves that veak can have hevt back then. Because bofors l/70 can use hevt. Just like sergeant york and cv90s can have those currently. Because they all use same cannon

They tested the maus with a simulated turret (block with same weight as turret) and found it could move but it was too slow for what they wanted.

there is a whole thread for giving the VEAK it’s HE-VT back. go check that for more info on the minutia of using the HE-VT on that particular gun system

I haven’t personally checked, but do the VEAK and the CV9040 use the exact same version of the L/70 (there are many)?
But again, the vehicle was decommissioned years before the round even existed.

It is not the same as having the technical ability AND existing at the same time.

Edit:
If you want to go into details and the sources both me and others were able to find you can read this thread: ( Veak 40 ammo change )

Didnt delve deep into that but judging by rpm values from wt wiki they indeed use different variants. Wt wiki should differentiate them instead of just generalizing with basic “bofors l70” then.

RPM is only parts of it as well.
I know Wikipedia isn’t the best source but it gives at least some insight into how many variants there are (give or take).

I think a couple (or several) of these use the same breach and barrel though.
