Hmmm…I think somebody could ask General Dynamics/Nexter for information related to DM43 penetrator (KE-W A1/OFL 120 F1). Since DM43 is from the 90s shouldn’t be that secret anymore (in fact, the patent with all the details about M829A3 can be read for free here)
They have a contact section on the bottom; don’t know in Nexter case. Having the penetrator length and diameter should be enough to model F2 or improve F1 (currently is modeled as 585mm x 22mm)
That’s 100% about muzzle energy rather than perforation.
Btw, DM53 is 685x23mm
Quite useful, but still missing the length or diameter; counting pixels we could make an approximation, but good luck convincing the mods with that.
Your mention of DM53 made me notice something funny:
DM23: 360mm x 32mm
DM33: 510mm x 25mm
DM43: 585mm x 22mm
DM63: 685mm x 23mm
Somehow DM43 is thinner that DM53???
That’s an LKE II prototype from early 1990s. If you look at production DM53/63s, they’re much thicker, here’s an example:

Seems like the Leclerc AZUR got the Challenger 2 TES/ M1a2 SEP/ Ariete PSO/ Merkava Mk.4 treatment with add on armor packaging that does nothing against any munitions it will reasonably see at the BR, fun.
Well…I ended asking Nexter for the dimesions of the penetrator of OFL 120 G1 and OFL 120 F1; now it’s a matter of waiting for the answer.
Already put out a bug report that has been forwarded about 2 weeks ago. They have to change it to composite

It’s possible they won’t give you the answer since G1 is a 105 shell that has been placed in a 120 case

Hi everyone, I said earlier on the thread that I had sent an application to Gaijin in order to become a consultant for France.
They sent me an answer today and sadly they will not be taking me …
I sincerely hope that one day they will need my help and hire a consultant for France, but until then, back to the usual.
But not to this degree. The turret cheeks can easily stop almost any round in the game, save for L/50 M322.
The turret can stop something, or anyway a turret cheek shoot you get only the commander, not a huge problem
It would be cool to see the improved protection, mobility and maybe turret rotation speed because i hardly believe its that slow IRL.
Last but not last, maybe an actual french camouflage, carc is completly unrealistic and we have plenty of camouflage that could be added!
Problem is, no one shoots the cheeks … That’s a very tiny portion of the tank and why shoot there when shooting the breach will almot guarantee a one shot kill ?
