The Leclerc is in dire need of a buff

im not sure i get you right? how has it stopped them if all those are in game working perfectly fine? or do you mean something else, like a attribute or a munition that they didnt add? me - confusao

My bad

No the difference ist they added half finished prototypes under their own discretion with the information available.

But they didnt add weaponry that thats in development and supposed to be finished.
Maybe only after its official cancellation.

For rounds Prototype rounds that are still in development just arent a thing, since there isnt enough known about them. In this case still isnt.
Dame reason i see DM83 as unlikely, we dont know enough

I see, thx for clarifiying.

Obviously makes sense, with what in game parameters it would get added would be impossibe to verify or get somewhat reliable numbers for if literally nothing is known about the round. and something as some sort of placeholder with just the name of the round known would be a very bad idea, just because the tank in other regards is modelled so bad at a too high br and would desparately need a better round.

Just beats me that they remodelled the already somewhat subpar leclers that get outperformed by M1a1 aims at 12.0, but by doing so they make it even worse. No wait actually thinking about it that doesnt surprise me at all. But also im not gonna play that bs. All Leclercs down to 12.0 or lower and full french top tier lineup with leos from netherlands when?

What a joke, really. If all or most top mbts are more or less guesstimates on their protection and some other characteristics to some degree it shouldnt be too hard to make certain tanks at least playable and not leave them in a state where they get outperformed in 9/10 metrics where just playing the generic copy paste leo2a6 from the subtree nation is 10 times more viable…

No problem.

I don’t get it. If Gajin brought in fair buffs for top-tier vehicles, it would attract new players to TT which would mean an increase in sales of premium time and vehicles. In the current situation, even if not everyone actually plays top-tier vehicles they choose TT precisely because of that.

Take Italy, for example - it’s a really cool TT, but it isn’t very popular because of the Ariete.
On the other hand, we have the US, which I personally find boring but people are drawn to the Abrams.

After all, it’s not as if buffing a underperforming vehicle would cause any harm to other nations/TTs.
Diversity and choice are always good.

What will generate more revenue? Adding another Abrams to the top of the tree, where we already have plenty of players who have completed the whole thing. Or perhaps reviving a smaller tree and making it viable and competitive, so that the Leclerc is p̶l̶a̶y̶a̶b̶l̶e̶… enjoyable again and excels in its niche.

I don’t know, Gajin’s actions don’t often make sense to me, even if I try to look at the bigger picture.

Edit: Personally, I spend the most money when I start a new tree. I’ve bought a vehicle once or twice just for fun but most of the time it’s meant to be my workhorse. I think a lot of people are the same way.

i also struggle to understand their modus operandi in that regard. somehow someone at gaijin seems to believe a balanced and somewhat fair game environment wouldnt benefit their revenue…milking more and more money out of people that apparently take ages to grind one of the three main tech trees US, Russia and Germany must be more profitale, or at least thats what some economics dude at gaijin seems to have figured out. Somehow those players seem to be on an endless adventure to accomplish that by playing 1, 2 or 3 premium vehicles for ages. After that, its apparently not necessary to get a big number of players interested in grinding any of the other more or less minor tech trees? that wouldnt bring in money and add to a more varied, interesting and overall good game?

Yet they invest thousands of hours into ship modelling, but never change the inherently broken standard naval game mode, sell almost top tier premium ships for 70 dollars for minor nations, to grind a tech tree where the best ship is basically the same like the premium one, only to face other ships at 0.3 BR higher that in efficiency are about 3 to 4 times better and basically invulnerable to your best ships. whoevers plan that mess is, chapeau, seriously. Go buy the Jean Bart lol

I never buy insanely overpriced and usually copy paste high or top tier premiums for grinding. If on a sale and decently high and interesting, perfectly fine, even better if it helps the grind. But usually i buy interesting and special vehicles that bring unique features or a unique playstyle or are just a good and unique addition to a lineup i like to play. Or some if they look very cool. All of that is basically never the case for the high tier or top tier premiums, so…

though i havent grinded italy that high, aint the arietes quite good tanks nowadays at the BR they are at? and italy having a very strong top tier lineup though almost without domestic tanks? For me italys main problem especially on lower BRs was the seriously lacking lineups, take 6.7 for example where multiple nations like Germany and especially US have insanely strong lineups with insanely good cas options. For italy you have a couple funny yet very situational light rat tanks and your work horse as a medium tank/brawler is…the m26a1? the worst of 4 (or 5) pershing variants that the US has access to???seriously??? theres like 5 to 6 medium and heavy tanks and TDs in the US 6.7/7.0 lineup alone i can quickly recall that are literally almost invulnerable frontally to your main workhorse?
Its just not fun for these nations, and france is basically in the same boat at multiple BRs there, when your lineups get that heavily outclassed and what youre doing to have a full lineup is dragging multiple vehicles from much lower BRs up to be able to respawn…

and even if you somehow, miracolously do well and get lots of sp, as cas option or at least a decent fighter to counter cas you can spawn…nothing??? the only option, the MB326B which admittedly is very good or even op, ofc needs to be premium and without a doubt (and probably rightfully so) will go up in the future…as spaa, you get an arty with he-vt, admittedly probably more effective than most spaa at that br range anyhow, or the Leo 40/70 with the Bofors at 6.0, a dedicated SPAA, thats way more efffective at killing tanks than the planes its designed to kill or the zsu 57-2 which is basically the same but slower and with two guns but also only usable vs tanks?

tbf, italy never was about mbts, its their fast car / wheelies people feeled atracted to the centauro and so on.

2A7HU via Hungary certainly was a great addition for a good mbt

tell that the german leopards with armor holes /inconsequent damage models which made gajin promise a DM rework over 2y ago, to then get ignored afterwards to just shut up the community

Yeah, guys, you’re right, but we’re getting off topic.

To put it very briefly, my take is that, logically, we should be playing with Gajin toward one goal, but instead Gajin steals the ball and throws it into the river, as if the buff for vehicles outside the big 3 weren’t serving anyone.

I find it hard to understand them.
No one wants to destroy the balance, which would be ruined if the vehicles were represented more accurately, same with ammunition (there are hundreds of examples - it’s not worth listing them).

I want every TT to offer SOMETHING.

PS. I don’t like that the most interesting thing Italy has to offer as its top-tier is Leopard 2A7.
I’m grinding the US because I want Abrams tanks, Germany for Leopard , France because I want Leclerc, and the UK for Challengers. Each one should be playable, balanced, and stand out in some way - because this is a GAME. And it’s far from realistic anyway.

Despite its meh/okish condition, the Leclerc received a massive nerf, while US and USSR MBTs have received solid buffs over the past year.

On top of that, the autocannon meta has turned the tables in the meantime - there’s not a match without a BMPT, and that’s the biggest counter to the Leclerc you can get with it’s armor/damage model.

Ammo, armor, mobility, damage model - everything is subject to balancing within certain boundaries that have been developed over the years. And Gajin does this, but not for minor nations.

Zerkquetscher nailed it. They waste too much time/money for naval. Ignore the accepted bugs. Don’t communicate. Money is slipping through their fingers too. That doesn’t make much sense.

All we can do is keep up the buzz through threads like this one, hoping that we’ll be noticed :/

well, not quite

Abrams buff can hit britain and china.
Leo buffs france, sweden, italy, japan and in the future israel god forbid the british ever ending up with canadian leos

sad noises with sweden being the define better leo tree in all aspects after they got DM53

sth i quickly wanna point out again, for the longest time abrams and leos were the only ones running around with the cursed turret basket.
not fun

You got that wrong I’m afraid. I dont think they waste it because they put effort into naval. i think they misdirect it by adding more and more vehicles, that 1 are not balanced while 2 not changing anything about the main mode that is navals main drawback imo to begin with (and visible by matches with one real player per team -->napalmrattes Jean-Bart vid). All while Naval EC, though sometimes with long queue times gets very good matches with 20 players per team but is only playable in RB/arcade config for 2 days of the week respectively. Its the better mode at least for high tier/top tier ships but they cant figure out how to attract more players to make it permanent, have it work so players can join later and not be squished by ppl that are already in battleships etc etc.

Similar to ground rb that while is working especially for the majority of BRs, for top tier lots maps/layouts IMO dont support top tier (or at least are not that good that they should be played 4 times in a row on repeat, sometimes 10 to twenty times in a matter of days while theres better options in game already), the CAS and SPAA with insane ranges and the speed at which matches play out. thinking of eastern europe 3 cap setup. all caps are at about 100 m from each other. its just a chokepoint fiesta and when u go on any flank outside the main town youll get CASd like 3 min into the match, inevitably, while being able to shoot down into the enemy spawns after 1 minute of drive time.

I really do like naval, just not the main naval gamemode. Naval EC is awesome. Anyhow, as you said, thats offtopic but imo has strong similarities to how “minor” nations are treated for ground vehicles and ground rb in general. But I’m also rather sure its different devs working on naval, ground and air related stuff, so reducing the amount put into naval wont magically improve ground rb in any way. I just wish they would work more on improving the actual gamemodes and especially some of the atrocious naval rb maps, even naval ec would really benefit from getting some love and less on just mindlessly slapping vehicles in the game, then run out of options to add and never work on fixing the already existing ones or create a more fair and balanced meta.

This would only end up nerfing it lol

nerfing it against top tier round, buffing it against auto canons basically

But S1 + S2 with the base OFL-120F1 should not be top tier anymore (or should stay 12.7 if decompression occurs)

Shard could go to SXXI and Azure or XLR when it comes.
Glass canon gameplay basically

Because we’ve been trying to get gaijin to fix this for years (this thread alone is 3 years old) and they just refuse to. SHARD is just the most likely thing that gaijin might accept to change/add.

Would it be enough to fix the Leclerc’s current situation? No, but at least it would be something.

The UFP is massively underperforming, if it were fixed it would actually change quite a lot as the front of the tank wouldn’t be a “shoot anywhere to pen” situation anymore.

And pointing out again since 3 years.
Shard is not even a completely finished round.
Its in its final steps and even then not enough about it is known for implementation.

Gsjin just throwing framce the dm53, like they did with swedem and italy is more likely then that

Italy was fair, but on what basis did they give Sweden the DM53 in any case lol. The best MBT got (one of) the best shell out of nowhere

Probably because Sweden top tier was kinda bad in general recently. Except for the tanks the lineup is really nothing special.

Aside from their anti air being subpar, nowadays they have a very good lineup tho. Comparing the Swedish lineup to most minor nations and they fair very well in general

Idk about that one tbh. Top tier Heli is non existent, SPAA is sub par as you said and fixed wing CAS is nice on paper but in practice the Gripen E just has so many downsides compared to the competition. The only other minor with a similarly limited lineup is probably Israel and Italy to a degree.
