2a5 12.0, 2a6 12.3 (or even 12.7), 2a7 12.7 => Leclercs 12.0

Placing Leclercs at 12.0 in the current state of the game is hilariously wrong.

If M1A2 and its non-SEP derivatives can be 12.0, so can the Leclercs IMO. I’d say the M1A2 as it is, is still a superior MBT to all Leclercs.
But a bunch of BRs are just ???
T-72B3A (TT one) being 12.3 is ???
Leopard 2A5 being a step higher than M1A2 when they’re basically identical is ???
Chally 2BN being 12.7 when its only advantage is the APS is ??? (same situation as T-72B3A honestly, gets to sit at a higher BR for a trade off/side-grade)
Ariete AMV is 12.3 for some reason when M1A2 is 12.0 (I get thermals, but the armor difference is massive, one can actually take hits, the other dies to a breeze)
At the end of the day, everything has to be compared to the Strv 122s and the (unfortunately still) massively nerferd 2A7s that are the golden standard of 12.7, and as long as they are 12.7, without decompression, moving other MBTs up, is pretty hard, considering the current “balance” is already stretched too thin.

So 2A5 can also go down to 12.0.
At that point you’d have to reshuffle a lot of tanks around that BR which is far more work than just moving up HC and company up from 12.0.
Considering what you just wrote, I don’t see a reason why HC and company couldn’t move up, regardless of compression.
Yeah no they can easily move up, just that 2A7s and 122s should too, but they won’t cus Gaijin and “muh queue times” lol, would give wiggle space for the worse MBTs like the T-72B3A to either move a step down, or remain where it is, but wouldn’t have to fight the uparmored Leo 2s at least.
(As if queue times weren’t already an issue with how many people play Russia and sometimes it still takes up to 5 minutes to find a single match)
Should have make mixed battle more often or as an option like smaller teams in arb, let everyone taste of their own bs.
The M1A2 and M1A1 HC/ M1A1 HC Clickbait being 12.0 has always been quite insane to me… They 100% should all be 12.3 alongside the Leo 2A5 and Leo 2PL (which are both currently in a perfect spot BR wise).
Worse thermals and the lack of CITV does not justify a massive 2 drops in BR for what is in terms of capability a carbon clone of the M1A2 SEP.
As for the rest of what you said I 100% agree, the BR’s for top tier ground vehicles are horrendous when you go off of their capabilities.
Things like Ariete’s, Challenger 2’s, and Leclerc’s should NOT be 12.3/12.7 when already existing vehicle at those BRs are so much better in firepower/reload, survivability, and responsiveness/mobility.

Leclerc is still good at 12.7.
@MotorolaCRO wouldn’t it be fair to put them at 12.0? They are moreso on par with M1A1, which IMO would reshuffle their BRs to be:
M1A1: 12.0
Leclerc S1/S2: 12.0
Leclerc AZUR/SXX1 w/ better round: 12.3
M1A1 HC+: 12.7
Keep in mind that at 12.0, the M1A1 would have no survivability nor armour to play with – effectively a more mobile Ariete with worse turret survivability but better hull. At least the Leclerc has ~590mm turret cheeks along with its good mobility, reload, and versatility.
I was surprised at how many turret shots my Leclerc bounced.
I’d use Leclerc over M1A1 any day of the week.
Placing Leclerc under 2A5 wouldn’t be that good either.
They’re fine at 12.7, we just need 13.0 to move uparmored Leopards and maybe some more tanks in.
Abrams are the best vehicles compared to their br overall…
Only exception is the 10.7 one or something around that br.
10.7 abrams is arguably the 2nd best 10.7 mbt.
The M1A1 is not the equivalent to a leclerc, while i believe the leclerc are mid, not great nor bad.
The M1A2 is comparable to tbe first leclerc which the M1A2 is under BRd not the leclerc over BRd.
M1A2 is far better than first Leclerc.
M1A2 equals to S2 at least.

I’ve got the first two leclercs man and they’re almost identical bar the S2 is actually heavier due to the Air con unit and such having been added.
The armours on them are identical, round, reload, optics etc all the same.
Only difference realistically is the S2 may accelerate slightly slower.
So how is the M1A2 “far better than the first leclerc” yet equal to the S2.

Because S2 actually has better armor on Turret slightly, the weight doesn’t come from AC unit only.
I would agree if the Leclerc had a resemblance of a turret, but have you seen how massive that breach is? The cheeks are on the far edges and are not usually what’s getting hit. Aside from that, M1A1 is more mobile, can carry more shells, has better shells, better utility, etc. I would say that M1A1’s pros outweigh the minimal extra turret armor, and make them out to be rather equal.
