This is probably my first time commenting on this thread. Why would these models be accurate? Either for Leclerc/Leo or both. I cannot imagine any reasons why a website designer would have the full schematics to the tank.
They might not be, but the degree to which they’re beliveable is much greater than for many “fan-made” models.
A lot of which assume a much larger armor cavity, to accomodate the “armor value” we’ve got in the game, rather than basing their findings on what’s possible with X decade’s armor technology.
The Leo 2A7HUN/+ model is pretty much entirely empty, fyi. We looked through it the same way we did with the Leclerc XLR model.

Historically, the pommies and French have whined as much as each other. I could point to a number of times the English were catered to in order for the devs to appease them. I stalked the forums well before the swap over, just didn’t engage in it. I’ve a fondness for both French and British equipment.
Because it’s not a schematic. These models would be accurate for the same reason the data on the website is accurate, they’re sourced directly from KNDS. There’s no practical reason to produce a fake or altered version; that would be more effort than it’s worth. Plus, the dimensions all line up correctly, and sensitive areas have clearly been deliberately removed, which strongly suggests it wasn’t made just for show.

There would be no need to model ANY of this if it was just a “for show” model from the start, they obviously took a higher detail model, reduced the detail and removed certain segments to get to this model. Generally all around the place you can see sings of them cutting details, likely for performance and confidentiality.
The leo is the same, this picture is of the interior AFTER i removed big boxes that covered everything up

Agree to disagree. The French discussions at present generally keep to themselves, as opposed to others I could point to. At least they aren’t trying to claim every second tank and/or plane. Or asking for an F22.
In case this will go deeper, there is no need to insult (or to prepare doing so). The model is real and official, made by KNDS. I’m afraid thats just how it is irl, nothing can be changed (unless there is an update which does change it in the future)
It is on topic. OP talks about ways to buff the Leclerc, one of them being armour, and to send reliable info that is for/against that armour should be allowed, always was allowed for such threads

I see the 3D model of the tank in KNDS website, but I don’t find the internals. You show the armor thickness at one point with a 2D slice of the front armor, where does that come from ?
Because it would actually be pretty useful to get the UFP to be significantly buffed.
It does correlate quite well to the estimations we initially had about the hull armor but had never found sufficient sources to report it
