The Leclerc is in dire need of a buff

Nah, no top BR prem

Incredible video presented by Colonel Le Jariel, who talks about the Leclerc and the Jaguar. A pure pleasure to listen to this Colonel. (You can add the automatically generated subtitles in the video settings)

Leclerc XLR with New Gunner & Commander sight (maybe PASEO?) will coming to 2028

This is not what could be called “integrated”, since we can clearly see (and from pictures as well) that it’s bolted onto the armor… so not even close to being integrated…

Yo that post is more than 1 year old. Right on time

Paseo will replace the commander’s sight (same solution found on the EBRC Jaguar) and the gunner’s thermal channel will be upgraded to the fourth generation Satis GS. Safran was awarded the contract in early 2024; however, I’d imagine due to order backlogs (over 1,000 Paseo sights and Satis GS cameras are already on order) the upgrade will take a while.

That’s one ugly building in the back.

Yeah I know, I’m very good at pinpointing what truly matters.

That lower plate looks kinda thick, surprising lack of armor on the right of the mantlet though

Is it SHARD next to it?

That’s the add on mine protection kit

@cervotoc123 its definitely not an APFSDS. Hard to tell from a distance, but I believe it should be the new multi purpose ammunition, HEAT, frag, preprogrammable with maybe proxy fuse. It should enter service with the XLR.

Edit : it has come to my attention that it’s actually the 155 shell for the CAESAR in the back, not a munition for the Leclerc LMAO. Thanks @Mulatu_Astatke

Definitely a APFSDS, but probably not The shard seeing the shape of the sabot… Maybe a F1

This is 2024 SHARD

To me the patterns indeed do not completely match the SHARD round, although now Shard looks very similar to normal 120mm APSDS

Finally a reason to use AZUR instead of S2

Well, at least AZUR now have LWS

Yeah after all these patches
