The Leclerc is in dire need of a buff

It uses a placeholder gun and ammo for now

Hopefully this is corrected before the update officially drops.

Also heavily dissapointed to see many recently accepted reports about French vehicles completely ignored in the recent datamine changelog.

Ideally we could see the VBCI recieve it’s spall liners and correct weapon along with many other reports concerning French vehicles actually implemented before the upcoming update releases.

unfortunately report refused they need the weight the length the design and many other things…

All informations have been correctly internally reported from what I’ve been told.
Not every report is external. A few TMs are doing report themselves and they do it internally so we can’t see them

I see the vbci is equipped with airburst ammo which is not implemented in the games. Does anyone know more about this?

So, as it seems like every bug report about the Leclerc is a complete waste (kudos to the people actually trying tho) maybe the snail could just reclassify them as light tanks? Something that is oneshot through multiple weakspots in the turret face (not the mantlet) and is able to get frontally penned with crew loss by the 23 mm belt with 50 mm flat pen at 10 m of the shilka while barely having any of the perks that other top tier mbts have cant really be considered a competitive top tier mbt in my opinion.

yes yes i know 5 second reload but coupled with one of the worst top tier darts, no laserwarningreceiver, no commander thermals and no armor i’m kinda struggling to see where this tank is supposed to shine? or where all the money for one of these irl goes to? something has to be good about them otherwise france would just buy leopards or any other available mbt for less money and wouldnt be able to sell them to the UAE?

the fire control system is one of, if not the best in the world. (maybe new tanks like the Type 10 or K2 Black Panther are on par). but in the 90s the Leclerc was the best, the Leopard and Abrams couldn’t even compete. The Leclerc has something like 98% chance of getting a acuate shot while stationary and 90% while moving.

also the reason why the cost is so high is because so few have been made. I think its only about 800 in total 200 for France and 500 for UAE. Compared to the 6000 leopards and 10,000 Abrams.

thanks for clarifying, in game this is represented as? same gun control like other top tier tanks? i’m completely sure that it has its strong points in real life as i said otherwise it would be pretty hard to justify the highest or one of the highest per unit costs among mbts.

but its rly kind of weird or lets call it an interesting balancing choice that among two top tier mbts of which one has a strong turret face, a ufp that will bounce apfsds in certain angles so better armor, .50 cals, a better dart and a proxy fuze heat fs the tank that has all of these advantages gets buffed one or two patches before anything gets changed on the weaker one…hmmmm (yes it can shoot over its engine deck and has gen 2 gunner thermals but thats it

no, this type of “fire control system” is not it game. In real life it will track your target and predict where to aim (similar to how spaa work in game)

i see and yeah that’s what i thought what u mean with the fire control system. just know the german word for it. i also feel like its good that this type of automated aim would take even the last bit of skill like leading a shot in longer distance maps (minimal engagement distances irl) out of the game so its good that its not implemented

Nah screw it. The Leclerc has nothing going for it just give it this system to at least make it interesting.

Systems like this would also (hopefully) encourage much longer range maps.

Systems like these would basically be Auto-Aim. This is neither really interesting nor is it encouraging for what limited gunplay Top-Tier is. I don’t think a mechanic like this has any place in WT realistic or sim (albeit a tracking system actually being present in arcade. You need a hotkey and then your tank turret rotates along with the marked enemy).

IRL, to target an enemy, the gunner holds a button, aim at the target, release the button. The gun will make all calculations and track the point of interest. If that’s not IRL aimbot I don’t know what is. I agree, for a game, this kind of auto aim is not the solution

Hopefully they put that 140mm on the Leclerc Evolution for Eurosatory 2025.
