The 1st report I hope to compile will focus on the AMX-40’s missing NERA arrays in it’s turret, which were suddenly removed with zero explanation from the developers.
Guys I’ve found another post on here that has an insane amount of sources regarding the AMX-40’s, hopefully if anyone in this thread can comb through and translate these sources I can submit a report to get the AMX-40’s turret composite back in a way that the mods will accept.
These GIAT papers seem to mention the turret armor so hopefully someone can translate:
Anything that states the turret has composite armor would be an immense help on getting that report accepted, there are MANY more sources on that post that I could potentially use if anyone could translate them.
It does mention composite armor for turret near the end , it’s the first line after Protection.
“Blindages composites cloisonnés en châssis et tourelle ; préblindages latéraux” can be roughly translated to "Composite armor in the hull and turret ; side ‘préblindages’ (no idea how to translate it since I don’t really know the equivalent in english closest would be ‘pre-armor’).
Knowing gaijin they will probably pull a “it’s a earlier AMX-40 variant , therefor , invalid”.
How I know it’s an earlier variant? Well it mention that the engine HP is 1100 hp and not the current 1300hp we have.
I got an like 3+ French sources and even 1 english source directly stating the AMX-40 has composite armor in it’s turret; if this report don’t get accepted I’ma mald so hard
I hope not, my report about the ammunition rack was accepted so I do have hope that with these numerous sources they will finally restore the AMX-40’s turret composites.
They’ve done it in the past to deny a report with upward of 10 primary and secondary sources because they had a single secondary source, so you shouldn’t rule it out.
Did similar crap for a lot of Vextra’s stuff, and that had significantly more fanfare about it than AMX 40. So I’m not holding my breath on them doing anything, even if they accept it.
Seems fine to me. It probably is something odd-out in prot analysis. Have you tried to fire the round and see if you penetrate? I think it should not penetrate
Hate to bug you when the reports are getting flooded regarding issues with the new update, but if you get the chance could you glance over this re-submitted report about the AMX-40?
