@magazine2 @Smin1080p_WT, sorry for the ping
Would it be possible to have this thread cleaned up ? The off topic is getting too large to follow any discussion Leclerc related
Guys please take any off topic discussions to PM or to another relevant topic. Do not just keep going and going in this topic when it has nothing to do with the subject matter.
Thread cleaned.
if a shell goes through the blowout panel it does not work anymore. Can happen when shot from straight front or the rear. That part does not seem to be a bug to me
im not a tank nerd by any means, or not as much as im an airplane nerd, but aren’t blowout panels located on top of the turret? i was always under impression when a shell explodes the top back of the turret opens or something.
also why would blowout panels not work when shot from rear? in the same match i got killed by ammo blowout when i got shot from the rear and shell stopped on ammunition.
Because if shot from the rear the shell goes thru the blowout pannels making its way to the crew compartment. In this case theres no separation between ammo and crew so in case of ammo cookoff the crew gets cooked aswell.
the problem is, the shell did not went through to the crew compartment, the shell stopped on ammo, because it was not apfsds, it was APHE from a T29 (yes i got skilled issued and killed by a T29 from rear D:)
But that would explain the shot i posted on screenshot i guess.
T29 also can just simply over pressure you as it did have enough explosive to do so, could also be that a single spall hit the board between crew compartment and shells. By the way the overpressure might be shown as ammunition exploded.
i dont remember what it said exactly, but i do remember that the spalling didnt even make it to the panel itself and crew wasnt dead on the kill cam so i would count out overpressure.
i guess maybe a little spark from the spall/explosion hit the panel and that killed me and i just didnt notice.
Overpressure might say ammunition exploded which does not necessary mean a crew death.
whenever you get overpressured, you can notice that your crew just turns black on the kill cam, it was not a thing on the kill cam after that T29 killed me

Look at this horrible result.
Arietes and Mer4s were both buffed and moved up,
All Leclercs received no buffs, and all four went up to 12.0.
Gaijin clearly hates and discriminates against the French.
We really should get all French players to absolutely tank the stats of the Leclercs to get them to look at it at this point.
However, I doubt that would even work.
sigh
I feel bad for you guys, you have spent month and month gathering evidence and losing sanity with the Devs to successfully have the reload reduce to 5sec.
In the end Gaijin just gave 5sec to everyone and buffed everyone but Leclerc
I still want to thank you all for the dedication
Well… I can see why the Ariete gets it. But the Merkava too? I guess it is underpowered then. But it partially removes one noticable advantage the Leclerc had on the battlefield now.
Let’s not paint the picture darker than it is, but creating a bit more flavour for this machine once again should be of priority. Although… the glass cannon strategy the Ariete used to possess has been eradicated by the devs through updates as well and no answer to cater to the Italian MBT arrived yet.
In the end though, it is notable that this is a move to decompress high BR’s which we always asked for. Thus, it is by no means necessary to argue against these tanks moving up, as all top machines do. This creates a nice area for the lower tiers to relax again, which is great to have.
What I consider problematic is that an M1A1 HC gets a 600+ mm round to compensate the increase of the BR, but the Leclercs (all of them) are stuck on a round that is actually less potent than the round the M1A1 has to begin with.
I think if anything, this qualifies the skill of french players again, but also highlights that the Leclerc’s ability has absolutely nothing to do with its armor or ammo. Its potency comes from the turret traverse, the reload speed and the mobility - and a big brain behind the controls to use that.
Big but though: The firepower and the mobility, nor the reload are that extraordinary though. The only thing that fully stands out is the turret traverse. The rest can be matched or even surpassed by other nations vehicles. Most notably the armor package. So to conclude that the French players are a capable bunch of folks, knowing how to utilize this machine properly is fair.
Note: The Leclerc AZUR actually does not have the faster turret traverse… does it? Or is my statcard broken?
