The Leclerc is in dire need of a buff

How is Gaijin supposed to know that the French advisor is doing a good job without a competitor or knowledge of what the ideal is?

-1) By comparing how they perform vs other nations advisor. If they constantly fail to produce the necessary data, it could mean that either that it’s difficult to get information for that nation’s vehicle or that the advisor isn’t doing a good job at finding information, which leads us to

-2) By paying attention to the community. We provide a lot of information in our suggestions, gaijin only has to look at what the community is providing vs what the advisor is providing and what the feedback from the community on the subject is.

But again, I’m not convinced the advisor is at fault. People have been asking for years for an IFV line for France, yet gaijin has only added a single one as premium in the latest patch. It’s not like data on the AMX-13VCI, AMX-10P, VAB 20mm,Vextra or VBCI are hard to get.
Then there’s the very lacking French naval tree which took years to implement for no reasons. Data is again pretty easy to come by as the archives at Chatelletrault are pretty easy to access (wargaming actually commented on how easy it was to get info from them while they were developing World of Warships).

I’m not sure gaijin really cares what he says on the forums and I don’t think much has been reported to the devs.

As for the naval tree and a nice stuffing,

Rank 1: 3 “Jaguar” classes including 1 which is no longer a “Jaguar” and 1 “Bourrasque”
Rank 2: 3 “Aigle” including 3 true C&C
Rank 3: 1 training ship, 1 ship not even French…, 2 Duguay class, and 1 “Fantasque”
Rank 4: 2 Class Sufren, including one with too high a BR, and 1 Emile Bertin
Rank 5: 1 class Courbet and 1 class Bretagne underarmed (for him I still do not understand this choice)

In short, to use a phrase of Gaijin “One of the oldest and largest navies in the world” it took them 6 years to release only half of it and the said half already present is only a multitude of C&C without much difference. While many other possible classes would have made good candidates.

Also, when a large part of the community creates threads like this to discuss errors in the choice of vehicles, weapons, armor, etc., it is because the advisor is not necessarily at the height. And you don’t have to be very smart to figure out that fact. So I wouldn’t claim to want to become a consultant because I don’t have enough knowledge, but I think others have the knowledge to become one. Some may even have the knowledge AND the desire to become one, but if Gaijin does not communicate the desire to recruit one, the motivated players will not be able to guess it and offer their services either.

Arrived at a stage, it may be necessary to create a suggestions for the replacement of the French adviser, perhaps seeing this Gaijin will move a little. Afterwards, as said above, the council may have nothing to do with that, in which case we could not do great things.

I’d be glad to work for them, but I don’t know how or where to ask them.
Even maybe just as side helper if they don’t want to replace the current advisor.

Gaijin does not care about ground vehicles , all they care about is that USRR is strongest nation in every aspect :

  • Best 12.0 Plane
  • Best 11.7 MBT
  • Best 11.7 SPAA
  • Best Heli Ka-52

Then another balancing factor is to make CAS enjoy the game and ground vehicles suffer . Rest they dont care

Hey, do you know if wikipedia is considered as a good source for Gaijin? Because if a Leclerc officer is not one I really don’t know what Gaijin want…

They want authoritative documents about a vehicle that is still in service, which mean that information is still classified, but not classified documents.

Yes, it’s as stupid and Kafkaesque as it sounds.

Another wrong thing about Leclerc series is the camouflage pattern and colour.

This image shows current Three-tone camouflage in game is not historical and its copy pasted from Abrams tanks (same inaccuracy also applied to Leopard tanks).

@Smin1080p Can we at least get historical camouflage for our Leclerc Series?

Currently only Leclerc S2 does have this camo but in order have it you have to buy from marketplace.

I really have questions about WT’s “CARC” camo. The only information I find on the internet about the “CARC” is that it is a “Chemical Agent Resistant Coating” a kind of varnish if I can say a coating applied to the paint. By playing on the camouflage scale of the “CARC”, we realize that it has nothing to do with the French variant of the CCE “Camouflage Centre-Europe”. So I don’t know if it’s the artistic side of their creators or if it’s my tired eyes. Personally I rather have the impression that Gaijin applies the German version of the “CCE” because it seems a little more rounded, the French version seems more linear. And there, if I have reasons, and it’s not really the French version and which is used, I would like to have a little face to face with the French adviser just to clarify things…

As you can see the German version looks rounded unlike the French which looks more linear.

The thing is, even German camouflage color pattern doesnt match with in game colour.

Gaijin just copy pasted Three-tone from Abrams and called it the day.

Whats more funny thing is even Abrams Three-tone doesnt match with real life colour pattern most of the time.

On the other hand when we see the horror that Gaijin has laid on us for the Unicolors Naval Français colors I am not surprised that he is not able to make a French camouflage which matches reality…

If the information about the camouflage had been classified, we could understand, but there are images that show us the layout of the shapes and have the name of the colors used, so Gaijin must be able to do it correctly, but does he want it?

They show little interest and care to France.

This has been proved many times on different incidents.

They act like France is one of the smallest country in military history while in reality its the opposite.

hello, it’s been more than a year since I made a bug report on the Leclerc S3 and its titanium armor with documents and I am pleased to announce that for them it is not a bug.
Good luck to you to try to upgrade the Leclerc.

They must be kidding….

@Smin1080p so this is how they treating French top tier tank? By just simply denying that its armor missing its one of the most important aspect?

This is not acceptable in any means.

You guys have to see this…

Yes I see that… And you know ping Smin won’t be of much use, he doesn’t care as much as the devs Leclerc will never be buffed, it must be obvious. France is not a nation worth it for the devs.

Concerning the cammo I just made a suggestion in order to have the Central-Europe camouflage which is the one that was used on french tanks (leclerc to keep this comment related to the topic) from 1986 to nowadays.
I’m just waiting for it to be checked first by the moderators.
However as it is similar to the CARC and they can make money from it already as it is GE only I think this won’t go anywhere…

I’m sorry to bring you this bad news…
But he prefers to give France stabilized vehicles for purchase rather than stability vehicles in the regular tree when we really need them. This should have warned us that they will do nothing for France.

Guys, bets are off, who thinks the commo will be classed as “not a bug” ? 🤣
