Honestly the best thing they coul have done with the AZUR THIS update would have been to make a Leclerc SXXI with the AZUR kit; those two (SXXI and SXXI AZUR) would have been foldered. By the way they would have added the OFL F2 to both SXXI and SXXI AZUR and, bonus, they would have corrected the armor for the latter…

What’s more, Gaijin only fights for battles that are of interest to them, and France is not one of them.
Gaijin will never make the Leclerc competitive.
The players who play it show their discontent on the forum and want change. And since the developers never come to the forums, only the administration can report this discontent to the developers. Unfortunately, this is not the case: they are all part of the same company and no one dares to say anything, and when we do, we are muzzled or hidden.
Gaijin has done some good things for France, it’s true, but it’s done so many bad things that in the end we don’t really know what to think. And since only a small proportion of players show their discontent, nothing is done.

So for now, it seems to be a Leclerc S2 AZUR which is honestly non sens cause it will be researchable after the SXXI so it would have been bettee to add the XLR with programmable ammunition AND already a best armor (similar to the AZUR)

The Ares version of the Leclerc prototype would have been a perfect complement to the 10.3 premium, as would another prototype version for the 10.3 tree. But still nothing. Our flak for the 2nd GM or Cold War period still doesn’t exist. Despite the VBCI, still no IFV. And our two poor battleships are no match for the multitude of battleships/battlecruisers facing us. In short, nothing.
As someone said on the French-speaking community channel, we’ll have to wait for the official release, then maybe we’ll get a surprise…
I present to you the Leclerc XLR, basically a Modernized Leclerc with additional armor similar to the AZUR kit… this tank feature notable addition such as the capacity to fire programable ammunition…

The more I think about it, the more I realize the AZUR kit wasn’t the next upgrade we needed for Leclerc

Personally, I would have settled for a 5s refill and the F2 + AZUR kit. It would have been magnificent. Now it’s just a cut-and-paste with a half-helpful plate extension.

That was obvious from the get go, the AZUR kit is designed to counter RPGs in an urban environment, which is a type of combat that just isn’t portrayed in War Thunder. It should’ve been added as an add on package like the TUSK for the M1 SEP, and even then it would’ve been quite pointless.
Requiring a full 410k RP + the RP for the mods is insane.
The main problem is that it is a S2 AZUR!.. WHY not just a SXXI AZUR, I mean I can’t understand this

The funny thing is that the Chinese MBT2000 in 10.0 has an arrow that pierces as much as the Leclerc F1 in 11.7.

Right now the MG doesn’t work, the armor is also a mess as well since it doesn’t work at all if you look at it. It needs some fixes for sure.
