It being a test bed it could have some kind of steel weights to simulate armor like the Obj292, but Gaijin seems to just keep the wight without bothering to think about where it cam from and how to implement it correctly (even if just based on assumptions)
even on obj292 the steel weights are modeled and have actual armor values somewhat , msc is just a empty box that is heavy.
That’s french light tanks for you ;-) But without scouting and drone. And light tank spawn cost. No. wait. But it does have a stabilizer no? Yes, that should be enough actually to make any france player happy.
MSC might be a competitor to the pt16 soon?

I think so, otherwise it’s near the same exact armor as normal leclerc, just not having some on the side of the turret, sadly the reload wasn’t changed.
Its there but the damage model isn’t physically working yet by the looks of it
this things gonna end up 11.0 or 11.3 just watch
itll do extremely well in the hands of french players at 10.7 and just get yoinked up.
If that happens Tiger HAD and Super Étendard will be useabke again.
Could that possibly be a win-win situation?
Will they review the UFP Du Leclerc’s armor with that of the MSC?
I don’t see it going past 10.7 even with the new composite given it’s likely said composite will struggle to even stop M111 hetz in it’s strongest areas…
I see the 6 second reload being permanent purely just so this tank stays 10.7 alongside the 2A4’s…
Gaijin has financial interests of keeping the MSC at 10.7 that way the Leo 2A4NL premium has a good lineup, so 0 way they move the MSC out of it’s current BR.
Does it have gen 1 or 2 thermals?
Gen 1
yeah I think gen 1 thermals and 6 second reload keeps it 10.7, otherwise goes 11.0.
Fun fact i uptiered the anx40 and my 9.3s to 11.0 just to use the SE whu its 11.0 is beyond me
Have you seen french players?
Wether or not they have a vested interest in it staying 10.7 if we make it perform well enough (which we will) then it’ll likely go up.
there is also the fact that the amx40 and 2A4NL already have a slower reload than the 6 second and do really well.
Okay lets compare with the type 90 and the T-90A if you want to get the leclerc in 11.0.
Type 90 (B) "Fuji"
Pros :
56.5°/s for the rotation of the turret.
2502hp at 2400rpm.
reload : 4s
LWS (Laser warning system)
Controlled suspension
Good ammunition (481mm at 10 m)
81km/h max speed
Cons :
Gun depression ( controlled suspension make it not that a cons)
Gen 1 thermal
T-90A
Pros :
Self-entrenching equipment
Electro-optical Active Protection System
800x600 thermal ( gen 2 thermal)
less heavier
good hp/t ratio.
great armor protection.
cons :
A bit less max speed than the MSC
A bit less turret rotation (because of the weight of the protection).
7.1s reload
MSC with buff
Pros :
reload : 3s
Gun depression
good armor on the front hull
cons :
34°/s for the rotation of the turret.
huge weak spot for the commander.
less horsepower
heavier
To conclude :
if the MSC goes 11.0 because of the 3s reload i don’t understand.
If it gets more turn rate i will understand but now 10.7 with 3s i think it’s reasonable.
with a 3 second reload it would not be 10.7 mate what???
secondly, the T90A is arguably one of the worst 11.0s, the ZTZ99II and III’s are better version of it.
The type 90 should be 11.7 already.
This MSC I bet you by next BR changes will be going up to 11.0, even with a 6 second reload
An easier comparison, VT-5 and not the rest of the MBTs, since MSC doesn’t have comparable armour.
Even then, armour is becoming less and less relevant with each and every update, this obsession with armour from folks is funny, its still a 70kmph, auto loading, DM23 sligning tank, which as you say comparable tanks are at 11.0
