Yet they have the ho-ri and had the r2y2 for ages
R2Y2->Documentation directs that it was both considered and in development. Ho-Ri’s multiple documents state the vehicle was only ever partially completed, which is enough to add to the game.
The Sloped Panzer IV was never completed, tested, or produced; it does have documentation of consideration.
Unlike the Germans, the Japanese were developing and producing in advanced for future assembly.
The R2Y2 wasnt, the pre plane was and the Partially produced Ho-Ri is far different to the in game HO-Ris.
Not really, cause the other 2 you’re thinking of were debunked as not real.
For the R2Y2, not referring to the R2Y1.
the R2Y2s got removed back in april iirc and the Ho Ri would be removed if a suitable replacement is found
Yes, BUT…
The Ho-Ris we have aren’t the Ho-Ri that was partially built. Fortunately it is pretty similar to the Prototype with the frontal hull armor being the only big downgrade.
+what Imaflyingturkey said, they’ll very likely be removed soonTM.
In what way is that similar? Its a stepped hull with center fighting compartment. Like i sayed above this isnt what is in game.
The engine is the same, the armor layout is the same apart from the front hull. Casemate is about the same. Gun is the same. From a gameplay perspective it’s 90% of the way there.
But these text changes and optical changes make it pretty much a different vehicle. The hull front will me a shot magnet, it cant be angled, the casemate has a big weakpoint roof and all sit closer together.
Gameplay perspective it will be far weaker.
It already can’t really be angled, since the hull corners are 65mm. Not that the casemate is much better because it’s 120/150mm flat. Transmission cover is 75mm flat. It’s already a shot magnet even if you don’t know the armor layout.
The only reason the Prototype is (overtiered) at 6.7 is because of the gun and that won’t change, if anything it might get stronger if the bug report on the assisted loader goes through.
