I bet there are more than enough French vehicles to fill gaps, they don’t need to add a whole subtree for that, at least on the ground.

No reason we can’t have both a subtree and more indigenous French vehicles as well. But I agree that we should have either gotten an independent Benelux tree, or a Belgian subtree in France.
What we have now (or rather what we don’t) is a poor attempt to fill up the French tree with vehicles that take less than a minute to copy over, save a few individual differences.

No, it means that subtrees should be added to supplement independent trees that have significant gaps in capabilities with unique domestic options, wherever possible. BeNeLux has arguably made France, which was already a strong tree, the strongest tree in the game next to Sweden.
I am not saying that Gaijin should not add more BeNeLux additions in the future, just that BeNeLux definitely has not been a lackluster addition for France. I agree that we should avoid copy-paste vehicles.

Oh, the Slppej m/95 is the best round in game? It is, as long as you ignore the DM53, or literally every other round. I mean, at least the Hungarian Leopard gets to keep its proxy rounds.
Oh yes, and the infamous sabot round at Reserves makes up for the fact that just looking at the Swedes blows them up. They’re glass cannons with no armour. Mighty nice consolation prize after you endure solid shot the entire way there.
Oh, Sweden is the great air tree? Yeah, that’s the greatest lie ever told. Their props are okay at best, but hey, at least you get BF 109s. Their early jets are the slowest bunch, but hey, at least they can turn real well and watch everyone race by them. And let’s not talk about how terrible Rank VI is. Oh, but there is redemption! MiG 21 Bis, a literal copy-paste (minus bombs of course) until you get to the JAS 39A. So have fun using that as you have to grind out two useless strike aircrafts, and hilariously over-BR’d Doritos that bleed out just by looking left.
Shall I talk about France and the Solid Shot galore that makes up their entire tech tree until 8.0? At least they have decent planes, as long as you ignore most of them.

This assesment completly ignores the MEXAS package.
That is why Sweden isn’t the best. France has better CAS and top tier jets.
Also your assessment of sweden in general is not very accurate. Sweden has many strong options at most tiers.

Ah yes, the very strong options of… Leopard, Leopard, Leopard, or Leopard (Finland). I’m not going to diss the ITO 90M, but that’s because it’s an okay SPAA. Not the best, not the worst. I’d rather have the funny truck with a massive radar over the Tor.
CV (funny numbers no one remembers) are also good. 120mm cannon is something I appreciate, but I could also just get the same satisfaction with the Centauro. Same thing with the autocannon CV, I could literally just use the Freccia and get a better Leopard out of it.
What am I forgetting? Sorry, I don’t watch War Thunder TikTok, so I’m not too sure what regurgitated opinions I need to debunk. Sweden is an average nation. They excel at nothing, but they are dreadful in many areas. The only thing going for them is one of the best close range fighter in game (which Japan, Italy, and Britain also get), and a decent Leopard (which Germany and Italy get far better Leopards), and an average SPAA (which Germany, Japan, and Russia get a far better one, with France also having the ITO).

Theres day and night difference in survivability between Strv122s and any Leopard that isnt 2A7.
Like cool, I’m wider and can kinda-sorta survive HEAT-FS rounds to the side. That makes up for the lack of decent thermals, and the fact I could literally play Italy and be far superior to the Swedish tech tree.
