Except the mans stated in the past hes a CAS hater and a Tank Only mode proponent. If he had his way planes would be removed from the game.
Making sure people can’t call you out on hypocrisy and double standard isn’t ridiculous.
If you start picking and choosing what gets removed first, second, …, last you open yourself up to accusations from the angry mob as not everyone will share the same opinion about the order in which things get nuked.
Why have you removed this at this time, it’s needed in it’s TT ?
Why haven’t you removed this first, it’s the oldest fake in the game ?
Why have you removed vehicle X first, I believe vehicle Y is more OP and should be gone first ?
You can actually see this playing out in the recent addition of turret baskets, where plenty of complaints ended up being:
“Why did X nation got turret baskets implemented while Y, Z, U nations haven’t ? Gaijin bad and likes double standards”.
You seem unable to understand that your way of doing things is the same as Gaijin’s, where the only difference being is the opinion you base those things on, which is something subjective.
Yeah, you’re right about that bit, I’ll take it out.
People can literally trace my comments against CAS in general dating years back in TO threads and whatnot. I don’t even use the 38MT myself to dunk on hapless ground vehicles as that’s exactly what I’m fighting against.
I want to play a mode without aircraft, but if that isn’t possible I’d want those aircraft to be balanced between each other.

That ship has long since sailed. Case in point is with the scimitar and fox turret rotation changes. The report those changes were based on was based on feelings and had no hard data in it. To be fair, the turret rotation was too fast and needed to be reduced and it’s impossible to come up with a reliable figure for and manually rotated turret, but the way the report was acted upon with scant evidence while others are rejected chaffs somewhat.
That is more down to gaijins habit of introducing features slowly and inconsistently, see spall liners as another example, with a dose of people getting used to it combined with bugs like the pump on the Abrams knocking out the turret drive which makes it far worse on that tank. An argument could be made that the baskets are too sensitive at the moment and more time should have been taken to implement a degradation system rather than an on/off system which I agree with but we are where we are with it.

My way of doing things is based on reality and an understanding of software development. Your way is asking gaijin to upset their entire planning and devote a major feature release to the removal of vehicles. One is realistic, the other is not.
I too want all the fake items removing, we agree with that however your approach would ensure it never happens.
he is specifically talking about things that were only a concept
like the Begleitpanzer and not build at all,
unlike the Mirage 4k as an example
What’s this list about?
List of things that developers will remove in 6-8 years
Unfinished prototypes given production equipment.
The rules regarding these have never changed.
That is an incredibly misinformed list then lol.
ST-A1 at a firing range. Looks pretty functional to me.
Thanks for proving the document correct with sources I already have.
Where is it firing HEATFS?
mb didnt know about that
xm975 is roland on modified m109 chasis, so technically exist
m247 fully exist, its just garbage and it didnt work properly
t92 exist
panzer 57 one prototype
radkampfwagen exist, few prototypes was built
idk
idk
it fly, but no missiles or radar, only dummies missiles
idk
the disrespectful, one of the first chobham composite armor mbts to ever exist, beat out most competition at the time, one was built, multiple turret was being built, tested firing, armor tested, mobility tests, multiple test was done, it is still exist to this day
fv4202 exist, see other guy message
afaik st-a1 exist, not sure a2
kikka real, fly once, gun was built, never installed tho
idk
nope, fake
idk
idk
idk
How are the Vickers Mk.7 or FV4202 fake?
he didnt do his research
yeahhh… they both look pretty real to me
The Swift F.7 was built, but didn’t have guns in real life, so that is somewhat fair.
same w kikka or yak-141
begleit and radkamp are also real but im too lazy to pull up some images
just google it
It uses the same cannon as the M36B2s that were provided to japan. Those had the capability to fire HEAT-FS.
edit: In any case, gaijin has stated for a long time that ammo options are used as balancing factors; as long as a vehicle could mount or use them, it’s open to receiving them. Some have also lost certain weapons, like the F-1 which does not have the AIM-9Ls it did IRL.
So there’s no reason to talk about any of this anymore. Gaijin will keep pushing their hypocrisy and double standards and we can do nothing about it.
I was discussing how the thing should be done so it’s done in a right way.
This introduces talks about their double standards and whatnot, which is something that definitely could be avoided. I doubt the game would end up in flames if Leopards and M1s haven’t received turret baskets before everyone else.
This could easily have been postponed, but it wasn’t.
You don’t have to devote a whole update to that, just hide vehicles in question and be done with it. I don’t think they even have plans about this topic, as not being able to find replacements for fiction that’s 5-10 years old is honestly unbelievable.
