is russia just not allowed to have good cas options? america has tv guided agms at a lower br but nobody cares unless its russia getting something that actually works for ground? if they remove it we should get the grom-1 back. Or leave it as is because apparently dodging a GNSS missile is harder than dodging a kh38MT. Idk why people complained more about grom 1 than the 40km kh38MT with thermals

Shame they haven’t put the tape measure next to it so we can be for sure it’s not one of their “barely even scaled” models they’ve made for reasons with dimensions being 3800cm x 25cm, instead of 4180cm x 31cm, which is the fully sized missile.
Is the other 8 nations not allowed to have something equal to KH-38MT?
Like AGM-84, Brimstone 2, etc etc. Heck I think China can even get the Kh-38 but dont
Because the A-10 gets shot down instantly but pretty much any SPAA. Only the Pantsir can counter a Su-25SM3, let alone the Su-34 and Su-30
It was not removed because of GRB, it was removed because of ARB / ASB. To return it would require additions like Storm Shadow, Taurus, etc
It wasnt GRB. it was destroying bases cross map with stupid ease in ARB/ASB. It was completely broken. Besides, for GRB the Grom-2 and Fab-1500? are way more powerful.

well what would replace the kh38mt if there is any options? its one of the few good missiles russia has that has range and for once in the russian cas loadouts it has thermals,

That would be because Im quite aggressive with the Stormer HVM to exploit its LT/SPAA killing potential and its scouting ability rather than camping in spawn AFK. Also minimises its weakness of having only 6km range missiles when dealing with CAS.
(and quite frankly the fact I am positive in it, shows thats the Stormer HVM can fight back just fine)
But my KD proves absolutely nothing in regard to the fact that I have never once had an issue with being outranged by an A-10 with their “AGM-65s”. I rarely even see them fire past about 6km anyway because of the poor quality of the seekers.
and as you ALWAYS like to point out, if they were really that OP the A-10 would be a higher BR and the A-10A wouldnt be 10.3. You really need to consider the whole aircraft and not just the AGM-65s

It all comes down to whether or not the pilot is good and leverages their standoff weapons, in which case the A-10 blows the Su-25 out of the water, or if it’s the average american main who comes in for a BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT run. In the later case he’s a free kill.
Having 115 deaths in 155 battles doesn’t seem to be aggressive, especially considering the vehicle you’re operating and it’s capabilities.
I just stated they outrange every AA at their BR, which is correct.
By the way, A-10A at 10.3 doesn’t have 65Ds.

Should I point out the fact that the A-10 Doesn’t have access to large caliber (or HE) rockets, APHE rounds for its gun (that 8mm HE action really isn’t doing much of anything to most targets outside those with the lightest of armor schema, and the APCR has very poor Angled performance) or access to SALH missiles. All of which make the SU-25 better at actually killing targets without using Standoff ordnance.

I also see the argument made all the time that the Typhoon is better than everything else because of “sustained CAS”.
Well, the Su-39 at 11.3 has 16x Vikhrs the A-10C at 12.0 has 6x AGM-65Ds without a tpod.
Only in worlds where air defenses aren’t present. In the real world standing off and attacking with mavericks is significantly more reliably than diving into the danger zone with the Su-25k’s kit.c

they have never restricted a weapon like that before, why would they do it now?
