The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

and the thread would probably be closed by the moderators, because we have gotten an answer and there would be no point in continuing this thread

yup. still no comment from gaijin…

IT HAS BEEN A MONTH AND IS THE FIRST RESULT ON GOOGLE FOR KH38 AND KH38MT COME ON BRO

Their answer to this thread are the new SAMs that are coming (it won’t change anything)

“Player stats suggests the KH-38MT is actually underperforming, so we will not be removing the KH-38MT but instead we will be adding the KH-38MA as the first and only ARH AGM in game”

yea SAM systems kinda close to Pantsir wont do a thing.

however update to a argument with some russia mains, I have witnessed my first person killed by a brimstone. admittedly it took a salvo of three to finish it off but its still a kill. so that’s brimstone 1, fake Zundewaffe 200+

god if gaijin actually make us wait for MMV until russia gets it, it will be so sad

I wouldnt necessarily say that it wont change anything (yet). We dont know exactly what SAM systems are coming or their capabilities.

That being said, i do have serious doubts most of the new SAM systems will help with the issue of standoff munitions. They will almost definitely have a large impact on all the other non-standoff CAS though.

Brimstone and Mavs are basicly limited to sub 20km shots, so its unlikely they’re gonna make it through this update unscathed. Helicopters are likely gonna be slaughtered, as all of their munitions currently in-game are well below even the short range of the IRIS-T SLS we know is coming. These systems also have very good short range performance, so low level runs are unlikely to work great either.

Im really curious to see what gaijins plans and modelling for these systems will be, cuz atm, I personally think they’re actually gonna be a net negative for the game. They are unlikely to punish the problem munitions like AASM and Kh-38MT, and might make all other non-standoff munitions effectively worthless, which would turn the CAS situation into an extremely binary one;

“Do you have standoff munitions, or do you not?”

If you dont, you might as well not even try.

I hope I’m wrong about this though, but in my mind, it just seems like a short-sighted attempt to resolve a problem which will only compound on all the other bad game design choices they’ve been making.

I have yet to die to a Brimstone, nobody but Germany flies the Eurofighter in real battles, Britain and Italy got IR AGMs on their jets, so it’s extremely rare to see an non-German EF doing CAS.

Which at the moment, is basically only the Typhoon…

hey means we might finally get the MMV seeker…

Hahahahahaha

Not a chance.

I think the best we can hope for is PGM-500s (big maybe on that one) or GPS-Only Spear-3s

yeah… who knows maybe it might be off set with us getting the Skysabre, but knowing gaijin I can see us not even getting an SPAA until next again patch

I agree, helicopters and anything subsonic that’s flying just a couple of meters off the ground are going to get slaughtered. This is going to make FnF helicopters like the Eurocopters and Spike equipped ones quite meta, Vikhrs and Hellfires helis are going to struggle, big time.

But then again, it all depends on how Gaijin implements these systems, I just really hope they get their own dedicated spawns, like helis do, specially for the systems that have over 18 km range.

yea my 12.0 lineup for air is a FA2 harrier or T10 harrier so I can open a can of whoopass on a heli camper as long as I don’t see any Sukhois or pantsirs or strelas

Brimstone II/III as SAL only would be healthier for the game tbh. Would have the standoff capability to be viable in a post 5th gen IIR SAM game, but without the ripple fire capability that makes Kh-38MT and AASM so problematic.

Would be a nice competitor to the Kh-38ML if they added Brimstone II/III and removed Kh-38MT/AASM IR. Would mean all standoff munitions would now be IR, and all F&F munitions would need to get within range of (most) SAM systems at top tier.

Im honestly thinking end of the year maybe early next for us “Because Britain has gotten a lot of SPAA recently”

Also, Gunjob I think has an internal report for IOG being massively buffed on all Brimstones

yeah thats not happening we will continue to be punished for jumping from IIR to MMV while everyone else gets more advanced IIR munitions (im calling it now MMV will be heavily underwhelming on release)

The Supacat Raven was actually developed in large part to outrange and outmatch Ka-52’s irl, preventing them from acting as firebreaks, so its kind of funny that the game is (likely) getting the actual check to the Ka-52 more than 5 years after it was added…

Even then, probs not. These missiles are also F&F and are likely faster, so its possible they trade. If the SAM’s loft up they would also negate most cover.

Pretty sure we’re just gonna be crammed like sardines on these terrible 1x1km maps gaijin keeps putting at top tier.
