Now on the topic of the Kh38MT, I genuinely believe it should be removed until proven real, and if it cant be removed due to a fuss, limit it to two per plane and allow KH29Ts on as well.

It shouldnt be in the game even if it was 100% real, not even in a more limited capacity like 2, it ruined any balance spaa had with CAS that exists between 8.0 and 11.7.
And again this comes from somone with all 3 kh38 slingers.
Game needs longer range SPAA and farther airspawns at minumum, before these 15km fnf missiles will be remotely balanced.

Yep.
The rock-paper-scissors of games is pretty broken at the moment. It’s more like rock-paper-tactical nuke.
Not going to sugar coat it, it’s an absolute failure on gaijin’s part.
Either :
- They failed to notice it didn’t exist and added it, which is a failure to do due diligence.
Or
- They knew it didn’t exist but added it anyway, which is a voilation of their own policies and opens them up to accusations of bias.
Or
- They genuinely thought it existed for reasons, but are now unwilling to admit they messed up and remove it.
Further more, the failure to notice the problem and the lack of anything to address the horrifying balance issues it created is a failure on the game managers and designers part. Them actually making it worse by adding more airframes carrying it just compounds the problem.
Either way, it’s an absolutely terrible look for gaijin. It makes a mockery of every suggestion they’ve shot down in the past due to the weapon or vehicle being a prototype. Their silence on the matter only compounds it sadly.

gen 3 thermal are freaking expensive and very good pair with a good zoom making it “OP” but putting it on a missiles that is going to blow up? That doesnt make sense
I think they just thought it was cool, added it thinking it would just be like whatever else we have but slightly better, but failed to realize it has 3x the range and air spawns are within its tracking range. If you scroll up even a big nerd like me didnt know that, stat card doesnt tell the full story about actual lock ranges.
If this was just a kh29td but like 10-20% better this thread probably wouldnt even have more than 500 posts. Most of the anger isnt due to it not being real or limbo, but more that its just awful to play against.
Playing CAS at top tier is actually hard to do well, kh38 took the skill floor and dropped it into the basement, so literally any noob can spawn in and farm some kills before they die like you can in ww2 BRs without radar SPAA.
A player that cant even manage to guide a laser seeker in without dying to spaa or CAP can probably get a few with kh38.
also they buff the thermal and the zoom of it?(idk about zoom one) which mean that they actually care about it
unlike other agms that still need sum fix they buff something that doesnt even exist

Russia will get sanctioned in game and hit with a -50% SL modifier on all vehicles as punishment for abusing fake wunderwaffe for the next year if it is found out the kh38mt is a fabracation.
Considering CMs were pinged like a dozen times already, I doubt they’ll suddenly start caring about this off topic thread.

Well, if its true that the manufacturer removed it from his homepage, its probably the most significant mistake in history of War Thunder. Especially since its impact on game balance is that overwhelming.
