You lost me here. How many su-30 players actually carry a targeting pod to do their dirty deeds?
How about planes with AGM, but without a targeting pod? How about TV AGMs, not IR ones. Japan is limited by that, for example. Their top tier can carry only 4x IR AGMs (grippin’).
How about german KWS, the only IR AGM-65 carrier in a whole tree? With only 2 of them and no targeting pod? Heat AGM-65 is a joke. I saw it getting swallowed by ERA too much.
If you’re on a city map - forget your maverics. Better use ZUNI or something. Oh wait, there’s a pantsir, perhaps even two.
Because it’s easier and they’re usually uncontested (enemy team just gave up and left). Is it a problem of everyone else for not spawning CAP? No it’s not. Some of them don’t have it. Some just don’t find it fun, which is true. Some just want to finally CAS themselves, which is oh no, being contested by pantsirs and kh-38mt slingers with R77/R77-1s. It’s just abusive. There’s not a single point of disadvantage about soviet setup right now. Let alone CAS. Flight model? If I was able to kill pantsirs in a phantom for a couple of patches - so could you. Or not? (Look at the first sentence of the post). I stopped playing top tier just because it’s not fun anymore if you don’t have a direct advantage in one field or another to utilize. But hell 38mt contributed to this decision a lot. Bet I’m not the only one.
You can doubt whatever you want. You came here to bring your justification for KH-38MT (at least it looks like that) and you completely failed. Bringing exactly 0 valid points. You know, being a german main myself it takes something to talk about that because of how frequently germany is on ru team right now for some disgusting reason. It’s bad from whatever side you look at it. You just look like you’re enjoying your toy a bit too much to have any critical self-awareness. It didn’t come out of nowhere. This fatuqie was brewing for how long? Half a year? A year? Whenever this su-25 was added. I’d remind you that even back then their sequence would look like: Spawn → Deploy Airbrake → Salvo KH-38MT outside of SPAAs range ->Turn 180 → Rearm → Gain alt outside of SPAA range → Start from deploying airbrake again.
Gaining alt was also optional. What have changed? Missile has been nerfed? Why now, all of the sudden, you need to fire it from 10km? Are you sure about that?

I was referring to the AGM-65D carriers. Most nations have F-16s or F-15s with targeting pods and AGM-65Ds.
Oh my, well if Japan doesn’t have it then I guess no one is entitled to it. (sarcasm)
Germany will get better ordinance as we go into the modern era, but it also has the best tanks in the game by far…
KH-38MTs are just as ineffective in city maps as the mavericks.
Yeah- I agree that CAS is generally abusive at top tier. The KH-38MT is the best because of the extended range and warhead, but not by much. As I said, the AGM-65Ds are just as capable of abusing ground.

I literally don’t care if the KH-38MT gets removed or not. I am a US main. But if you think that I am justifying the KH-38MT because I say that it is not much better than the AGM-65D, then okay?
LOL. I’m a US main. The KH-38MT is FAR from my favorite toy. My motivations are actually much simpler: I want fairness in the game. I want either everyone to have access to things or no one to (e.g. removed vehicles, FnF ordinance, etc. etc.).

they are not, they loft more agressivly and significantly less time to target both mean it is much less likely to move behind an obstruction
it is though, even just the IOG is a very significant advantage because if a mav loses lock for a second it falls out of the air where if a kh38 loses lock it will keep going to last known location and can even reacquire

no it didn’t. there were drawings of an ostwind 2 however it was nothing like in game. guns would have been top+botton instead of side by side to use a pre-existing gun layout. to literally be the ostwind but 2 guns
Gen1, which are pretty much useless. Optic zoom is also too much to scan the skies with it.
Which they routinely just miss because their guidance sucks. Every launch is a coinflip on whether the missile will actually do that it was designed to do or not.
Records say it was built and there is a shipping manifest for it, specifically in this configuration.

Doesn’t the Kh-29TE work with the SOLT-25 thermal, which is on the Su-25SM3, in principle the same as the AGM-65D?
I highly recommend to leave things related to R2Y2s, Ho 229, F-16 AJ, Ho-Ri production, Zerstörer 45, Ostwind II, Yak-141, and other things that have no relation to the core of this post and start focusing on the Kh-38 MT being completely a fantasy weapon, if anyone have objections to this statement or have a counter argument that wasn’t discussed pls share it other wise all the info that was sent was already discussed and updated in this post by @MythicPi.

While sure, the Black Night isnt the fastest or best armored, but it has an good gun, good ammo, good Reload, okay Mobility and has APS which make it immune to APFSDS at range
