I own all three planes… last time I checked, the Su-34 literally has 0 thermal pods guy.
The Su-25sm3 isn’t played because it’s terrible in pretty much every game mode, and too slow, and too incapable of defending itself.
That’s why the Su-30 is spammed just as the leo2a7v is. It’s in a good position, and can defend itself, it’s a jack of all trades.
I mean… the 38MT’s seeker is Gen2/3 and has a very good zoom so there’s absolutely 0 need for a separate TGP

How do you activate it? As on Xbox at least, there is no keybind for seeker thermal, this is why I didn’t know that.

It must’ve been bugged when I flew the Su-34 in ground then, because that was not an option, granted I only flew the Su-34 shortly after it came out. Then it’s been collecting dust
With the exception of the AGM-65D’s thermals and the LANA FLIR navigation pod, I don’t remember any NATO aircraft having TGPs with IR before the F-16C and AV-8B+/Harrier Gr.7 came out
I’m talking thermals in general. Acquisition of a target is key over all.

Why would Rosoboronexport offer a “fake” missile? It doesn’t make sense.
It is not used in war because laser-guided or glonass-guided Kh-38 have a longer range and these missiles aren’t used against moving targets anyway. Planes don’t kill tanks in real life. This is a helicopter job. But this does not mean that the Kh-38MT does not exist. Russia uses an LMUR fpv missile with a thermal seeker, I see no reason why the Kh-38 can’t have a thermal seeker either.
I do not know why there is so much hate towards the Kh-38. How often do you die from this missile? I very rarely. I have both Su-34 and Su-30SM and I can say that the MiG-27K and Su-25T/Su-39 are much better on 11.3 because on 12.7-13.0 you regularly play against crowds of fighters with fox3. 8.0-9.0 and 12.0-13.0 is the worst br for CAS.
