So it actually going to be removed now?
unfortunately probably not
If this was a NATO missile then gaijin would have removed it by now
it wouldnt have been added at all
Rus…Russi…RUSSIAN BIAS!!!
Seeing as the RuAF seems to despise FnF (TV/IR) weaponry (because of cost, at least that used to be the old reason anyways), wouldn’t shock me.
It’s not fantasy, and it’s not even the most OP missile anymore.
There are 4 missiles ahead of it, and 3 are laser guided.
In the context of ground RB, of course the IR missiles are still OP [they’re better due to the poor ranges of SPAA], but when Python 5 SPYDER comes, the IR AGMs stop being OP and the laser missiles stay OP.
@Miraz05
If this was a NATO missile it’d be on the aircraft: PGM on GR1, AGM-65D/G on the most modern American aircraft, etc.
What the manufacturer says goes.
Unlike the missiles you have mentioned Kh-38MT has no proof of being used.
Where was the proof it exists in this topic?
Not my place to say.
I was pinged while sleeping about a false claim.
I only commented on what I know, nothing more.
Also I’ve been looking through images of F-18E and there’s no photograph of it equipped with an AGM-65D/F so far even though we know it can carry them due to how the AGM-65 series works and what the manufacturers say.
I gotcha, I saw that claim and was waiting for your source haha.
Well from what I’ve read in here, there might have been a prototype. Maybe.
And from what I’ve seen on the EF, they don’t take only brochure sources, and theres 0 pictures of it being used so… I’m thinking its still fantasy.
So then whats your excuse for every other guided munition that would take its place. You still have to deal with MLs and eventually ARH AGMs (Although thats the far future). This thread in its entirety is stupid because if it (the missile) didn’t exist past concept gaijin wouldn’t add it because once discovered it would be the fumble of the century at best or more likely another stick to beat them with.
I have no comment one way or the other personally.
I’m more concerned about laser weapons staying OP when the new SPAA is added within the next couple major updates.
My only claim regarding Kh-38s was that there’s photographs of Kh-38s on the Su-27/30/35 series of jets, I never specified the type.
If I did see any Kh-38MTs it would’ve been photographs of the Su-34, however I never made that claim and I was searching for images that weren’t Su-34 at the time.
And to my understanding all AGMs made after 2000 [regardless of country] are serial-connection systems, which are more universal than older AGMs.
if they actually exist and entered service or was used in some limited form, I dont have a problem with gaijn adding any new AGM as long as it is balanced when compared to its in game contemporaries, which is the important part given that KH38MT was not balanced in any way and is looking like it was just either a prototype or concept
given that the only thing about KH38MT anyone has found on the internet is a brochure and a possible mock up on display its not looking good for it existing in operational state
I don’t know if I am as concerned. They would have to keep the laser on them, like the EF now, and its decently hard to do that while dodging the SPAAs now.
Even better SPAAs will make it harder to do that
Not always. Otherwise the Typhoon would be far stronger than it is currently
And even when a bug report is submitted. It is not always actioned (looking at the 3+ year old bug report for SRAAM range.or the number of reports regarding the Stormer and Starstreaks using largely manufacturer materials)

mate thats a watch movement
We have proof of its deployment in Ukraine but only in SAL, so far this weapon is only being used against infrastructure, I doubt an IR version would be used on vehicles or armor, it seems like such an overkill system for very little strategic value.
An IR version would be useful against ships or larger targets, I really don’t think it would have been used for anything else.
Be patient lol then they will give a rocket stronger than KH38.
