The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

It’s even worse than that, the Mirage 2000N n°301 used to carry out the AASM firing tests is the property of the DGA (Directorate General of Armaments), the agency that deals with the development of weapons and their integration into the French forces. The problem is that the aircraft is very extensively modified to carry out the firing tests, so it is impossible to know if the AASM would be adaptable on a classic Mirage 2000 without significant changes.

Spoiler

Moreover, the integration of AASM on the Mirage 2000-5F delivered to Ukraine has not yet been confirmed, although it was announced last October, which shows the importance of the modifications. (Even if the 2000-5F does not carry air-ground weapons, the French agencies have all the bases to integrate air-ground equipment on this aircraft)

Remove fantasy KH-38MT. Justice for Brimstone, justice for game balance.

justice for game balance would be removing cas completely from ground battles and giving fully capable air-ground weaponry to planes

I think the top of “lense” might be a reflection from some railing in front of it

you can clearly see the edge of the circuit board through it

additionally how the wires are run suggests that the seeker is looking up as they would offer more range of motion if that was the case

finally the orientation of the visible circuitry doesnt make much sense if it is in IIR lense at the bottom as its position and angle would suggest an axis of rotation very recessed into the missile which would significantly lower seeker FOV

No the top is most definitely a pivot area. You can tell by the marker on it.

I agree. Many are missing from many aircraft. Gaijins reluctance to add GBU options is weird. Typhoon is missing nearly a dozen options across all nations

X-38 should be removed not because they didn’t exist in real life, but because they broke the balance of the game.
AASM also needs to be removed

yes, i know

If what you are saying is true…

…Although there isn’t a single picture of it, and the fact that it doesn’t exists Gaijin wont say or do anything about it but if this was america or UK or Germany it would be stripped out the game at first thought.

AASM might be about to get a massive nerf as its looking less and less like it was usable against tanks and other moving targets. Meaning the only really usable version for GRB is the laser guided variant

It was exactly this that prompted mythicpi to double check the KH-38 seeker too

Use grok.ai, much more nuanced and objective in my experience. If you really have to use an AI to gather info.

NOOOOOOOOOO
why would anyone use AI to gather information

sure it might be easier but i wouldnt trust AI in such cases

I’m just saying, it’s better than ChatGPT. And I don’t use AI to gather info BUT I have used it occasionally to FIND sources, if I don’t really know where to start looking.

Resorting to AI🙏🙏🙏

AI is easy to manipulate to say whatever you want

genuine question
How so?
Is it because you can change targets mid launch?

Cause it can launch from 30km and guide from that distance, while the Kh-38MT uses a copy-paste AGM-64D sensor in-game so it’s limited to around 14km tracking range.

By the by, anyone claiming I have a photo of Kh-38MT is lying with malicious intent.
I have no photo, I’ve never had a photo, and I’ve never in my life claimed to have a photo.

Interesting

couldnt you theoretically launch it from even further away with IOG?
(similar to the Brimstone?)

Now, that only makes the missile itself more OP, it doesn’t necessarily make the situation “amazing”, as ground RB is dynamic.

Probably, it’s hard to do testing of laser munitions for me either due to skill issue on my end or the 30km game-restriction just hating me.
