And as you mentionned, the third link mentions the proposed seekers basic function, but nothing else.
This is what I meant when I originally said all info about the Kh-38MT can effectively be traced back to brochures. If you actually follow the sources provided, the brochures, either on KTRV/ROE websites, or at MAKS are effectively all that literally every scrap of info regarding the Kh-38MT’s existence are sourced to.
Literally all “evidence” yet to be provided of the Kh-38MT’s existence are the promotional brochures, and the accompanying mockups.
It seems the more ppl try to prove its existence, the more they prove it likely never did.
Much appreciated for the much needed moderation. I understand this topic is devisive, and want to apoligize for any trouble it causes the mod team, but do believe it to be a very legitimate conversation for the community, and hopefully the devs to have.
Thanks for taking a look on the russian side of things. I believe I was quite thorough in my research before I decided to make this topic, seeing as the “accusation” I was making was rather subtantial, and did check russian sources as well, but iirc you’ve mentionned you spoke russian, so you def have a leg up on that side of things. I appreciate you double checking my work. 🫡
Agree, the purpose of creating Kh38MT is not clear. For many reasons, AGM with IR guiding system mostly used for anti armored targets, but Kh38 have too much weight on its warhead for anti armor purpose. Makes its not worthed too much on its main purpose. i think its the main reason it could not equipped in russian military.
No it was corrected on SU-30 to match the other aircraft. The thermal resolution needs to be set per vehicle on a weapon so this just bring it into line with the other KH-38MT carriers.
