Or just come to 5-6km, lock it up, fire and hold a key down.
We needed better AAs long time ago and this is yet another proof.
Buildings and trees exist, Brimstones IOG is none existent and unless you are close they miss and do no splash damage.
Best way to use them is to ignore everything in your first pass then come back from behind the SAMs or an offset angle pitch up and launch the Brimstones then when you get to 3-5km from the location pop up lock quickly and lase. Hoping your missiles hit the target otherwise you are dead.
Well we have them and based on the Devs blog it isn’t going to make a difference to the Kh-38 spammers

Wasn’t this thread started in large part because of the hypothetical AASM changes that would have left the Kh-38MT without a competitor?
The biggest issue with this thread is that it was started a year after the Kh-38MT was added, after the AASM was added, and after Gaijin started talking about adding longer range SAM’s. It would be very strange for Gaijin to simply remove the CAS weapons that created the need for longer range SAM’s or heavily nerf them, rather than simply leave them as they are and continue work on longer range SAM’s.
Congratulations, you figured out how to use brimstones and make every SPAA helpless against them.

Okay and? Doesn’t change the fact that the Su-34/30 can do this with no effort, and you have to get within AA range at all times to pull this off, you are making in sound like it’s a trivial matter lol.
Oh, and you only get to kill 1 SPAA too, no FnF, remember? Oh, and hope you are not against a competent AA player that’s paying attention to your moves or a Pantsir ready to fire its guns at you, yeah dude easy :)

Can’t forget that also, GRB maps are so small and cramped that you are within immediate range of Fox 3 and R-77-1, doing CAS in the EF is borderline impossible if Pantsir and Su-30 or other Fox 3 is slinging heat at you.

IRL yes, in game - no. But I do admit that they’re good only because of Real life → Game conversional assumptions working exclusively in their favor. Outside of some horrible decision making like adding pantsir or separating SP for su-34/su-30, adding that su-25 with 38mt’s. ER stuff etc.

Even a Wiesel with a Stinger is dangerous to Typhoon.
Players seem to forget that the lower you fly you expose yourself to more threats. While Su-30/Rafale or even an F-15 can fly high deliver it’s CAS payload, the Typhoon is in the weeds.
You are within the short range systems the 2S38 auto tracking. The Strelas the systems that other aircraft can just ignore as their wepaon systems are actually “stand off”
