The resolution of the sensor itself is fine (assumedly, though as to what exactly is being used to set the resolution I don’t know), the thing is that it should have nowhere near the level of detail nor lock on range it does currently, especially for smaller targets.
Pretty much. When presented with a more balanced alternative and br adjustments, they will do anything in their power to dodge the question.

if you check wayback machine it hasnt been updated in at least like 10 years where in the same timeframe the RU version was updated to removed mention of 38MT hence the EN version is by definition out of date
can you make a bug report?
if they arent gonna remove the fake missile they might as well make it match the made up stats for the seeker

I dont know how many times I need to tell yall you can have two forks of the same website in two languages be valid for two separate audiences. RU website is for internal use, EN for external which is now even more clear since we have promo material in English from zhuhai 2024. If what you say is true then the zhuhai brochure should either be in russian or chinese but its neither.
Not something that would be as simple as document says X, in game is Y, please bring elements into alignment, with Thermal generations.
It would have to be a little more detailed and contrast specs of other seekers against Brochure claims, since we don’t actually know what it uses as the detection array, other than whatever they are using as the material, for cooling, and Targeting constraints are very much sub-par. Even in comparison to decades older Russian Electro-Optical offerings.
And anyway it might well be refused on the grounds of gameplay convention that All IIR ordnance uses data based on the AGM-65D’s WGU-10/B. Anyway, rendering all this moot.

The issue is that Thermal qualities are based on a tiered approach based on arbitrary Array size of the detector nothing to actually do with the performance of the seeker itself.
The way a Russian CAS mind pretty much summarised to “us vs them” mentality when they got Gaijin to produce one of the worst offenders of WUNDERWAFFE and an overperforming crutch when other nation is stuck with abysmal dogshit (R-77-1 and AMRAAM A-B) in big 2025 is clearly an interesting hook to wider psychological research to how a supporter of an aggressor in a trust-based society works.
Arrange that “flight with Putin to fire 38MT and get a direct view on how the seeker works, how the image quality present itself in the MFD, differences of MT seeker and other older IR ATGM seeker, and it’s actual flight performance, hit rate and failure rate in a perfect weather condition” if you think you are so correct to begin with.

We already were earlier, and he does have half a point. There are some people in this thread who jump on the barest crumb of speculation to say it doesn’t exist and will refuse to entertain anything short of the damn thing falling through their roof before even beginning to entertain the thought they may be wrong. And yes the inverse is also true, and the worst part is both of that kind of commenter doesn’t even bring anything new or interesting to the table just the same bunk again and again.

Again, either convince a VVS depot officer to take a pic of 38MT in the depot or get me a report on 38MT firing test if they can’t arrange a live firing showcase.
Either it exist in VVS inventory, exist as a document that evaluate it’s specification, or it’s a wunderwaffe that only exist as Zhuhai brochure / MAKS mockup.

The problem with war thunder entering the modern age instead of just using museum pieces is that we can start claiming that a lot of kit isn’t real.
