So it should be a very shit maverick. it’s seeker is about a magnitude less sensitive. All it would really be suitable is as an Anti-Ship missile or very large & hot facilities (e.g. power station).
The resolution of the sensor itself is fine (assumedly, though as to what exactly is being used to set the resolution I don’t know), the thing is that it should have nowhere near the level of detail nor lock on range it does currently, especially for smaller targets.
if you check wayback machine it hasnt been updated in at least like 10 years where in the same timeframe the RU version was updated to removed mention of 38MT hence the EN version is by definition out of date

RU website is for internal use, EN for external which is now even more clear since we have promo material in English from zhuhai 2024. If what you say is true then the zhuhai brochure should either be in russian or chinese but its neither.

The issue is that Thermal qualities are based on a tiered approach based on arbitrary Array size of the detector nothing to actually do with the performance of the seeker itself.
